Think as if pouring out. Again, with fervent longing, strive in the manner of praying with the Hundred Syllable Mantra, visualizing one's body filling up like a glass vase filled with milk, thereby attaining the accomplishments of the three vajras. Pray with "Protector, I," etc., visualizing Vajrasattva smiling and bestowing the blessing of purifying sins and obscurations. Vajrasattva dissolves into light and merges into oneself, then meditate and dedicate the merit. Here also are explained the signs and benefits of purifying sins and obscurations. Second, the instruction on the mandala for perfecting the two accumulations: The root text states: The root for perfecting the two accumulations is the mandala. In the space before you, visualize the field of merit, the three kayas, and the assembly of deities. With reverence, offer to the Nirmanakaya pleasing objects of enjoyment, the four continents, eight subcontinents, Mount Meru, etc., and the offerings of gods and humans. Offer to the Sambhogakaya the pure land of Brahma's melodious sound, bindus, and countless bindus, with the mind. Offer to the Dharmakaya the unadulterated awareness of wisdom of the sphere of reality, in the pure, vast, primordially pure expanse. The mandala offerings, gather the HUM (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) and dissolve into oneself. By offering in this way, one attains the fruit of the three kayas. So it is said. That is, the object of offering the mandala, the field of merit, is visualized clearly as in the previous refuge. The objects for offering the mandala, prepare offerings such as jewels. Arrange the body in a piled-up manner, recite with the mouth, and visualize in the mind the four continents, subcontinents, sun, moon, iron fence, etc., surrounded by mountains and oceans in the center raised by the great, freely-acting golden foundation. In short, offer the beautiful and abundant wealth of gods and humans from the peak of existence downwards; this is the mandala of the Nirmanakaya. Offer the pure land of Brahma's melodious sound, adorned with bindus of wisdom jewels and countless bindus; this is the mandala of the Sambhogakaya. Offer the mind of enlightenment, inseparable from the sphere of reality and wisdom, the unconditioned, primordially pure expanse; this is the mandala of the Dharmakaya. Primarily, perform the combined practice of the Nirmanakaya mandala once, then offer the other two mandalas once each as well. Finally, the mandala and the place of offering, etc., all dissolve into light and transform into a blue HUM (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽), merging into oneself. Meditate in a state of non-objectification, then dedicate the merit. The signs and benefits of the mandala are explained. Third, the instruction on the guru yoga for swiftly receiving blessings: That is, from the root vajra verses:

Pray to the Lama! On the beautiful lotus throne above the crown of the head, visualize the root and lineage lamas stacked clearly on the right, the Buddha Jewel on the left, the Sangha on the left, the sacred Dharma behind, the Yidam in front, and the Dakinis and Dharma Protectors with their retinues. With the three doors, make supplications with devotion and shed tears! May the Lama bestow blessings, purify obscurations, and grant the four empowerments! At the end of the session, may the Lama dissolve into oneself, and abide in non-fixation! Thus it is said. Therefore, the root of the Vajrayana's fundamental realization and the generation of qualities depends entirely on the blessings of the holy Lama. Therefore, thinking that one should engage in the practice of Lama Yoga, settle the body and mind. In the space in front, which is clear in one's own pure realm, in the midst of rainbow-colored five-colored light, as a symbol of the complete purification of the eight extremes of conceptualization, visualize eight Bodhisattvas transformed into eight powerful lions, supporting a high and vast throne with lotus, sun, and moon cushions. On it, visualize the root Lama, the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times, with a body adorned with the marks and signs of perfection. Above that is the root and lineage Lama. Furthermore, visualize the Three Jewels, etc., around the perimeter, as in the previous refuge practice. Thinking that all sentient beings, self and others, are gathered together in one voice, with intense devotion and longing, bow the body with respect. From the mouth, utter supplications of lamentation, and in the mind, whatever happiness or sorrow, good or bad, may occur, think, "You yourself know." In the mouth, recite, "Victorious One, Lord of the Victorious Banner lineage, Amitabha," etc. After making the supplication, visualize the Four Kayas, the Lord of Power, etc., and the three syllables of the Lama's three places, white, red, and blue, radiating light gradually and simultaneously, dissolving into one's own three places, thereby purifying the defilements and habitual tendencies of the three doors, cleansing the four obscurations, obtaining the four empowerments, and manifesting the fruit of the Four Kayas. Visualize starting with the syllable OM (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:ओ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡) from the Lama's crown chakra, etc., and finally performing the stages of calling the Lama from afar, etc. The Lama dissolves into light and merges into oneself, then meditate, and then dedicate the merit. This is like the foundation of the path, the door to generating the qualities of the actual practice. Practice until familiarity and stability are attained. These are the stages of the preliminary instructions. The above is a written record of the oral teachings.
