The higher of the five paths actually obtains power by transmitting the mandala of self-nature and incarnation, etc., to the lower of the five paths; the master who has obtained various stability in samadhi, by empowering the fortunate disciples in the mandala of the image of increase, what is obtained is only intention and learning, so the power can only mature to be able to produce. What is said here is the former. Thus, for the four yogas, either the empowerment of the four rivers, etc., is given as benefit and power, or based on the previous benefit empowerment, the way of sequentially giving the power empowerment for the sake of obtaining any path is also taught. As it is said in the Gongdü: For those yogis who aspire, give twelve volumes of scriptures. For the yogi who practices, give the two, sun and moon. For the yogi who has attained great breath, surely obtain the seven jewels. The yogi who has obtained the great transmission, obtains the eight auspicious symbols. The yogi who has perfected great accomplishment, obtains the distinction of the ten talents. The supreme guru of all, obtains the unsurpassed crown of a thousand lights. Therefore, in the path of accumulation, the basis of hearing empowerment is given, that is, the scriptures that are the basis of hearing and thinking. The twelve refer to the four mindfulnesses, the four correct abandonments, and the four legs of miraculous power, symbolizing the twelve parts of the scriptures. In the path of preparation, the sun and moon, the basis of meditation empowerment, are given, symbolizing the five faculties and five powers that can control and destroy their respective incompatible aspects by practicing and meditating in the union of appearance and emptiness. For the path of seeing, in order to control the benefit of oneself and others like a universal monarch, the seven jewels are given, symbolizing the seven branches of enlightenment. For the path of meditation, in order to bless them auspiciously as the sons of the Buddhas, the eight auspicious symbols are given, symbolizing the eightfold noble path. For the path of consummation, the empowerment of the ten powers is given, thereby overwhelming incompatible things, and perfecting the ten bhumis, obtaining the distinction of the ten talents of compatible wisdom. The guru of all gurus is the teacher of all paths, the fruition of no more learning. In order to exert authority there, the headdress and crown with a thousand lights of precious jewels shining everywhere are given with empowerment.

Granting empowerment. This seems to be the empowerment of the fruition. Seventh, the sign of obtaining empowerment is: by bestowing empowerment on the lower and lower paths, the sign obtained is obtaining the respective higher and higher paths. That is, the sign of empowering the supports of the accumulation and junction is obtaining the seeing path, thereby obtaining the place of reverence by all; and the meaning of seeing, From that, without wavering, practicing diligently, the wisdom of the path of cultivation arises; from that, practicing the skill of intelligence, effortlessly and spontaneously reaching the ultimate is the path of exhaustion; from that, attaining the state of perfect Buddha, thereby accomplishing the two benefits, spreading the light of great qualities. In the Gongdü (《意集经》) it says: The sign of the Lord of Lanka is like this: the supreme crown appears, and what is not placed is naturally present, spontaneously and completely accomplished, and infinite rays of light increase. Thus it is said. Second, the empowerment of the initial practitioner of the subsequent action is: In the Compendium of Empowerment Meaning it says: For the initial one of subsequent action, the empowerment of the four rivers is bestowed, for the six stages such as yoga, the outer empowerment is done by the rivers of the tantra. Etc. In the Distinguishing of Empowerment Meaning it says: Initially, the king's seal empowerment. Etc. are explained, and each of them is extensively explained in the meaning of empowerment. In the Twenty Initial King's Seals it says: Etc. briefly shows the classification. The twenty initial king's seals are: crown, goddess, lion, elephant. Etc. are explained through the path of detailed separation, which will be understood in the explanation. Now, these key points that can be understood in all that has been said before and will be explained later should be examined: When explaining the empowerment of the subsequent path practitioner, the disciples who are the objects of empowerment are combined into one accumulation and junction, and the three paths of seeing, cultivation, and exhaustion are established as the four paths of no learning. Then, by gradually bestowing the four rivers of empowerment on each of them, they are connected to the higher and higher paths. This is the empowerment of the path stage that does not distinguish between reality and imputation. Otherwise, if it is the time of ripening empowerment for those who have not matured before, except for a few special individuals with extremely sharp faculties who can be liberated at the time of empowerment, such a situation is impossible. Therefore, relative to the ripening empowerment, by bestowing this and that empowerment among the four rivers, the learning path of seeing, cultivation, and exhaustion and
