Having relied on more than thirty eminent masters of both the old and new traditions, including Gyanapada, Lhatsun Kunzang Namgyal, Dzogchenpa Drukdra Zangpo, Bon Lungpa Tsultrim Gyaltsen, Zur Choying Rangdrol, and Trulshik Norbu Chöten of the Nyingma school, as well as Gyaltsab Drakchok Yang and Gonpo Sonam Chokden of the Sarma school, He listened to limitless teachings of Sutra and Tantra without boasting. In particular, regarding the empowerment of the Guhyasamaja Sutra: At the age of eight, he invited Ngakchang Kunzang Paljor Jangchub Ling and, together with his father, received the Kham tradition. At twenty-one, he received it from Lhatsun Kunzang Namgyal based on the Kham tradition's script. At twenty-nine, in the Earth-Hare year, fourth month, at Gongra Lhundrup Ding, from the Mahā-lotsāwa Gyanapada, he fully received the root and branch mandalas of the Guhyasamaja Sutra, all constructed with colored powders, based on the script of Nyalpa Delek, along with the four river empowerments, seals, meditation sequences, and oral instructions, in connection with the procedures of the great accomplishment, completed within seventeen days. He was given the secret name Dorje Dudul Tsal (Vajra Subduer of Demons). In that same year, he generously bestowed Dharma upon the fortunate ones, but saying, "Or a son cannot sell the Dharma," he returned everyone's offerings without accepting them. However, it is said that this master offered a vase of empowerment and nine sets of monastic robes, which the master happily accepted. It seems that he showed the symbolic method of seeing the empowerment as a vessel of water and arranging the auspicious connection for spreading the teachings. Thus, having determined the way to cut through the additions and subtractions of hearing and thinking, he practiced the essential path in various secluded places as it is. Thus, the generation stage, which can prevent impure appearances, gained the signs of tangible vision in clarity. Whatever activity he undertook was accomplished without hindrance. Having realized the nature of the Dzogrim Kadak, the ground of completion, the unchanging state as it is, he cut the bonds of clinging to samsara and nirvana. As the appearances and existence were purified into the spontaneously accomplished, clear light expanse, visions of many yidam deities arose, and he received prophecies. As the clinging to self-interest vanished, from the compassion that pervades the sky for the benefit of others, effortlessly and spontaneously, he taught and practiced for many fortunate ones, high and low, who sought liberation.

Afterwards, Lochen Chögyal Tenzin took over his position. This one was born in the lower village of Edam Nönpo in the Iron Sheep year. Due to the clarity of his previous life's imprints, the monastic community recognized him as the reincarnation and invited him to the monasteries of Dagpo Töling and others. He effortlessly mastered writing, reading, and rituals. He went to Palri Monastery in Chongye to study diligently. He received novice ordination from the abbot Sönam Rinchen, and his name was called Chögyal Tenzin. He received various empowerments and transmissions as appropriate. Starting from memorizing the words of the rituals such as Gongdü, and the writing, drawing, sacred dances, and melodies of those rituals, he studied the root text and commentary of the Omniscient Great One's treatise, 'Mind at Rest'. There, he also learned the practical methods of fierce mantras such as Zlok and Loktri from Nubtön Drakpa Wangpo, as well as astrology and black calculation. At the age of eighteen, in the Earth Mouse year, he served as the disciplinarian of the monastery, becoming an example of great influence. In the same year, Rigdzin Trinle Lhündrup was invited to Palri in Chongye, and the entire monastic community, headed by the incarnate supreme Trinle Namgyal, received the complete empowerment, instructions, and seals of the Düpa Do in the sand mandala, in connection with a grand accomplishment ceremony, according to the Zur tradition. At the same time, he also received the Kama tradition of the Lönpo Nyungdü from a painting, according to the Kham tradition. At that time, his secret name was known as Dorje Yongdrol Tsal.
