Etc. Regarding what is to be kept secret, there are generally four kinds of secrets, four kinds of intermediate secrets, and two kinds of secrets that are suitable for keeping secret and entrusting, totaling ten kinds. The first is that profound views and rough behaviors should be kept secret from those with low intelligence and those who are not compatible. The deity of one's own chosen deity, as well as its mantra and signs of accomplishment, are said to be kept secret from all who are compatible and incompatible. It must be kept secret at all times. The second is that the place, time, companions, and materials of practice should be kept secret as long as the practice lasts. What is suitable for keeping secret is that because one needs to be respectful to the guru and Dharma friends, those behaviors that may cause other branches to distrust or suspect, and so on. What is entrusted to keep secret is what the guru and Dharma friends admonish, saying, "Do not tell others." Not showing the objects of practice to the eyes of non-vessels is also a great vow. But what is directly pointed out here is that one should not tell secret matters to others. Among the reasons for not achieving mantra accomplishment, revealing secrets to non-vessels and slandering the guru are the most serious. Therefore, even at the time of empowerment, it is said: The secret of all Buddhas, the meaning of the tantra of secret mantras, do not speak this truth to those who have broken their vows and have no faith. The manifester of the Great Vehicle, do not despise or slander. This is especially emphasized. If these are summarized, the second, fourth, and fifth are vows of protection, and the first and third are vows of practice. If summarized as the three vajra samayas, the second and fourth are of body, the third is of speech, and the first and fifth are of mind, which is a common saying. There is also a saying that the first is summarized as the vow of speech, because the most excellent of all actions is speech, because the ultimate meaning it indicates is luminosity, so it belongs to the category of speech. Therefore, there are ten vows that are branches of the five root vows, namely, five that cannot be abandoned and five that cannot be discarded. The first is: Ignorance, attachment, and hatred, pride and jealousy are not abandoned. Thus it is said. Regarding its meaning, in the "Luminous Commentary" it is said: When the vow of not abandoning is spoken, there are two ways to use the five true poisons and the five inverted poisons as the path. The first of the two that are spoken, the five true poisons are, the supreme friend who is not abandoned or the practice of luminosity.

In the branch with five modes, the five differences of the means similar to the five poisons are inseparable, namely, the five are: In view, there is no partiality, and in conduct, there is no distinction between acceptance and rejection, which is ignorance; compassion without object arises from not realizing it, which is desire. In some places, it is also said that not being able to separate from the equality of Dharma-nature is also desire. In the space of equality, self-arisen wisdom destroys wrong thoughts, which is hatred. The view of realizing equality is understood to pervade the Dharmadhatu, so it does not fall into narrowness or promote advancement, but does not abandon pride. The only wisdom in the Dharmadhatu, the clinging to duality, the conceptual elaborations, all cannot be accommodated in the mind-space of equality, which is jealousy. In short, the unsurpassed Bodhicitta is the deity meditator of the union of appearance and emptiness. What obstructs it is the clinging appearance of acceptance and rejection, so with the skillful means of great equality, the vows are divided into five named after ignorance, etc., it seems. In this way, the unsurpassed non-abandonment is the object of study. And these five real five poisons are transformed into differences in learning methods. Second, the reversed five poisons are: the five poisons of affliction themselves. When the means path arises simultaneously, when it first arises and is used as the path, destroying the attachment to great bliss is the path. Although there are many statements about these, to summarize the essence. The Vajra says: Afflictions are like bubbles in water, like illusions, empty in nature. If examined carefully, the nature is not non-empty, but if the nature is not empty, it pervades permanence. Therefore, here it is established in the impermanent place, empty in nature, because it is an impermanent place, so liberation is achieved by knowing the inconceivable nature of the inconsistent existence of impermanence. It is said that acceptance is done through the door of knowing the nature. The former Rigdzin said that although oil is not actually seen, sesame is not abandoned for the sake of oil. Therefore, when affliction suddenly arises, it is not controlled by it like ordinary people, nor is it regarded as an enemy like the Hinayana, but like homophones with different meanings, understanding from the perspective of the reasoning of the self and common characteristics of affliction, thereby manifesting the essence of the heart essence of affliction itself and accepting it, so the five poisons cannot be independent.
