The mind with various attachments to good and bad, attachment and aversion, acceptance and rejection, etc., is the side of samsara. The appearance of the freedom of wisdom beyond those impure appearances and minds, such as the dense array of self-appearing Akanishta and the other-appearing Ogmin (highest pure land), etc., are the riches of the pure realm, which is the side of pure nirvana. However, neither pure nor impure, none of these are established in the realm of the innate state of mind or the non-conceptual space of essence wisdom. That space alone is the cause or basis of appearance for all those appearances of samsara and nirvana. Since the space is not established in either samsara or nirvana, if all the appearances and minds of samsara appear from the perspective of that space, which is like a clear mirror, then the space is determined to be on the side of samsara. If the space of the path is manifested as it is, then the dharmas of samsara must appear, and those impure appearances and minds must be the reality, and since there is delusion at the base, it cannot be purified, then effort on the path becomes meaningless. If it is established from the perspective of the pure appearance, then the space falls to the side of purity and cannot be the basis of appearance for samsara, then the base of samsara is not established, and beings would be liberated effortlessly, and so on. Now, if, as it appears to the mind, the appearances and minds of samsara are ordinary self-sustaining, or the objects are material, and the knowing consciousness of the subject is substantial, independent of wisdom and wisdom-appearance, then the basis of appearance exists in the ultimate nature realm of the external object, which is undoubtedly unreasonable. Therefore, the way of establishment according to clinging appearance must be refuted by the reasoning of Madhyamaka. Therefore, the commentary on the Vimalakirti Sutra extensively explains the refutation of the four extremes of arising and ceasing and the reasoning of one or many. In this way, the ultimate abiding state of the space is considered to be without even the slightest elaboration of dualistic appearance of appearance and appearing object. This explanation of the single cause of samsara and nirvana as ultimate also cannot establish a plan of appearance that is merely cutting off and reversing, because this is the wisdom of emptiness through proof and negation, the most subtle non-conceptual wisdom, which is the same as the meaning of non-affirming negation (non-exclusion), and is based on that for investigation. To realize in this way that the space is not established in either samsara or nirvana is to realize the single cause. Combining by briefly showing all the key points.

When establishing, nature is unborn, manifestation is unceasing, essence is undifferentiated. Taking the four negations as what is to be accomplished in the realm of mind with specific characteristics, and combining it with the statement that the four, such as the same cause, are established as reasons. The two appearances of samsara and nirvana, as subjects, are unborn because both are not established in the nature of the dharmadhatu, because the ultimate basis of appearance for both of you is only that single dharmadhatu. This is it. The way the secret lord is arranged in the Ornament of Realization should be understood there. Thus, although the appearances of samsara and nirvana are not established from the perspective of the dharmadhatu, it is impossible to separate the dharmadhatu from wisdom. Wisdom can manifest appearances that are similar to purity and impurity, and they are spontaneously present. Just as without a patterned rope, there would be no basis for mistaking it for a snake, if the original state of mind were merely empty and cut off, it would be impossible to establish any appearance. If there were no appearances similar to purity and impurity, there would be no delusion at all. Therefore, it is said above that delusion has a basis, which pervades everything. The illusionists say this, these are the infallible vajra words. That is also as mentioned above, the key is that the fundamental dharmadhatu itself has no partiality towards either samsara or nirvana, so impartial appearances arise naturally like illusions. The meaning of impartiality is that the places, bodies, and enjoyments of samsara appear as endless distinctions such as the differences between heavens and hells. For example, even a single object like water, due to karma and vidya-mantras, fire burns on water, etc., and the exhaustion of meditative absorption, the earth's absorption can close the sky, the mandala of the earth, and the city gates, etc., due to such causes, it appears as anything. Such an appearance is called impartiality. In short, whatever appears and is not limited to any one side is impartiality. In this tantra, all things of samsara and nirvana are repeatedly proclaimed to be merely names without true existence, as refuted by the Prasangika Madhyamikas. If the basis for naming were established, there would be no way for impartial appearances to arise. Therefore, saying that it is merely a name is a very thorough reason for establishing that appearance is impartial. And the way it is very thorough is also that the basis of appearance, the ultimate nature of the dharmadhatu itself, the reason why the appearances of samsara and nirvana are not established, lies in the absence of true existence. It is established there, that is, it is not established in the dharmadhatu, and
