Without observing faults and merits, practicing is like a small lake stirred by a gentle breeze. Mostly, it is scattered without thought. Abiding clearly and serenely, able to tolerate conceptual thoughts, this is called a stable experience. The ultimate experience is: continuing to practice constantly, like a great lake without waves, or like a mountain king abiding, no condition can shake it, not only that, but it can also be enhanced again, for letting go, going, staying, and dwelling, the mind can obtain freedom, this is called the ultimate experience or the experience of obtaining freedom. Thus, briefly explaining the definitive and complete path related to the five experiences. The teacher Sangye Sangwa said in the Stages of the Path: In the way of gradual maturation, establish five branches of entry. Because all things are self-aware, death is the ultimate truth, and birth is the conventional truth. The three stages of birth are of inseparable meaning. Therefore, it completely shows the path of integrating birth, death, and bardo into one. Death is the path that accords with clear light, the yoga of great emptiness. Similarly, with bardo and compassionate illusion, the three stages of birth. The first is the same as the mudra, the middle is with the mudra with elaboration, and the last is with the gathering accumulation, which are the five yogas of the path with outflows. These in the manner of cause and effect, the former path arises in the continuum, and the latter needs to be learned, why is that? Because the former path is the fundamental cause of the latter arising, and the latter is the result of relying on the former method, the Stages of the Path says: Therefore, seeing afterwards is also like that, the gradual arising is also like that. Because it is the cause of all ultimate truths, therefore, first practice the supreme cause. As it is said like this. The five paths of practice like this also have gross afflictions that are subdued by the arising stage of conceptual thoughts, and subtle ones together with seeds that are subdued by the complete stage, two kinds. Among the first, there are also five paths of gathering practice such as great emptiness, among which the first, explaining the yoga of great emptiness, also has three: what is to be abandoned, what abandons, and the result of abandonment, among which the first, what is to be abandoned is: that is, when sentient beings die, inner and outer

The elements gradually dissolve, and ultimately the clear light of the Dharmakaya of death appears. As it is said: Appearance dissolves and thoughts dissolve. Subtle dissolves and gross dissolves. After dissolution is the step. Self-awareness will manifest the clear light. As it is said. First, the way the twenty external gross natures dissolve is: As a sign of self-awareness entering the clear light, all limbs become subtle, the body becomes weak and powerless, and the mirror-like wisdom dissolves, and the mind becomes unclear and blurred. The earth element dissolves, and all bodies become weak. The eye faculty dissolves, and the eyes do not move and close. The sign of the object's form dissolving is that the body loses its luster and weakens. Similarly, the feeling aggregate of jewels dissolves, and the three feelings are no longer experienced. The wisdom of equality dissolves, and the three feelings are no longer remembered. The water element dissolves, and one's own sweat, urine, semen, blood, etc. become dry. The ear faculty dissolves, and one cannot hear internal and external sounds. The sound of the object dissolves, and even the sound of a bell cannot be heard. After that, the consciousness aggregate of the lotus dissolves, and one no longer remembers the names of parents, siblings, etc. The discriminating wisdom dissolves, and one no longer remembers two-legged creatures, etc. The fire element dissolves, and the stomach no longer digests food. The nose faculty dissolves, and the upward-moving air moves slowly. The taste of the object dissolves, and the six tastes are no longer felt. Thus, after the twenty external gross natures have dissolved, the way the subtle internal elements dissolve is: In the great bliss of wisdom's play, it is said: First, earth dissolves into water, and water dissolves into fire, and fire dissolves into wind, and wind dissolves into consciousness, and this arising of consciousness will also enter into the clear light. As it is said, day and night, only the movement of the wind of wisdom is powerful, and the movement of the wind of karma
