After determining, for one's own benefit, to obtain the eight vows of individual liberation or the supreme Bhikshu vows, one upholds the two hundred and fifty precepts. Among these, the eight vows of individual liberation are: As stated in the Abhidharmakosha, "Individual liberation is named eight, its substance is fourfold, because the name changes, these differences are not contradictory. Abandoning five, eight, ten, and vowing to abandon all. Layman and near-dweller, Shramanera and Bhikshu." As such, the four Parajika offenses, the thirteen Sanghavasesa offenses, the thirty Nissaggiya Pacittiya offenses, the four Patidesaniya offenses, the single Pacittiya offense, and the one hundred and twelve categories of Duskrta offenses. The third is the Pratyekabuddha vehicle, translated from the Sanskrit word Pratyekabuddha, because one does not rely on a teacher and attains one's own Bodhi by oneself, it is called Pratyekabuddha or self-Bodhi. Its doctrine is: it appears in the intermediate period of the Kalpa when the Buddhas have not appeared and the Shravakas have been exhausted. As stated in the Mulamadhyamakakarika, "When the Buddhas have not appeared, and the Shravakas have been exhausted, the wisdom of the Pratyekabuddha arises without reliance." Its entrance is through the gate of the twelve links of dependent origination. That is, going to places such as cemeteries, seeing the bones of the dead becomes a cause. Investigating where the bones came from, it is known that they came from death; investigating where death came from, it is known that it came from birth, and so on, finally understanding that the root of all this comes from ignorance. Understanding that if ignorance is cut off, the door of all Samsara can be closed, thus cultivating the twelve emptinesses in reverse order, using the magic of a soundless body to make others believe. Its view is: realizing the selflessness of the person is the same as the Shravaka vehicle, but with regard to the clinging to the self of phenomena, it is believed that the atom is the meaning of a moment, therefore it has the term of realizing half of selflessness. The place of learning is also mostly similar to the Shravaka vehicle, on top of which, the common Dharma language of the Pratyekabuddha is to cultivate the twelve links of external and internal dependent origination in forward and reverse order. The temporary result of the path is that the superior faculties abide alone like a rhinoceros horn, and when the middle and lower two gather, they gather and act like a flock of birds. The ultimate result requires five great Kalpas.

It is to manifest the supreme bliss. As it is said in the Extensive Treatise: Knowing the outer and inner dependent origination as illusion and eye disease, Unobstructed and well-versed in the first form, Virtuous friends and non-learners realize with their own wisdom, Ascending to the Bodhi ground, wish-fulfilling supreme bliss. Fourth, the Bodhisattva Vehicle: Because of the vastness of the mind of enlightenment, it is solely engaged in benefiting others; because of the vastness of wisdom, it truly sees the meaning of the two selflessnesses. Because these are absent in the small vehicles. As it is said in the Sutra Unveiling the Manifestations of the Sugata: With compassion, focusing on sentient beings, With wisdom, pervading all phenomena, It is called the Great Vehicle, Apart from that, it is other. Such a Bodhisattva Vehicle, if derived from the word Bodhisattva (梵文,bodhisattva,菩提萨埵), means that one who has courage or great strength in achieving unsurpassed enlightenment is called the Bodhisattva Vehicle. As it is said in the Compendium: Great intelligence and great generosity are heroes, Adorning great armor and subduing the illusions of demons, That cause is definitely called the mind of enlightenment. Thus it is said. Its entrance is through the gate of the two truths. As it is said in the Two Truths: The Dharma taught by the Buddhas, Is truly contained in two truths. As it is said, there are two truths: conventional truth and ultimate truth. The first, conventional truth: All phenomena that appear in this way are all objects of the mind. As it is said in the Madhyamaka Two Truths: Deceptive, meaning it is the object of the mind, Is the general characteristic of conventional truth. As it is said, that which appears and can function, like the moon in the sky, is the true conventional truth; that which appears and cannot function, like the moon in water, is the false conventional truth. The former says: Although appearing similar, Because of the ability and inability to function, The distinction between true and untrue, Is made in conventional truth. Thus it is said. The second, ultimate truth: All phenomena that appear in this way are determined to be unobtainable and free from elaboration, and abide in the nature of unborn and unceasing space. As it is said in Rahula's Praise to the Mother: Speech, thought, and expression are absent, etc. As it is said in the Essence of Wisdom Condensed: Not existent, not non-existent, not both existent and non-existent, Not the nature of both, four extremes.
