It is said. Furthermore, there are also inconceivable statements, as stated in the Lankavatara Sutra: 'As long as the activity of the mind is not exhausted, the number of conceivable vehicles is endless.' And, 'When the mind transforms, there is only one gate of the vehicle.' As it is said, as long as the activity of the mind is not exhausted, the limit of conceivable vehicles cannot be reached. However, in this tantra, due to the disciples of the five types of lineages, all the teachings of the incarnate body are summarized into five distinct vehicles and taught. First, the vehicle of higher realms of gods and humans: derived from the word 'Deva,' it means gods who enjoy happiness; derived from the word 'Manushya,' it means humans whose minds are dominant, becoming good supports due to the distinctions of merit. Its entry point is to engage in the ten virtues and to practice with faith in the afterlife and the results of karma, which is called the worldly right view. In the 'Collection of Special Statements,' it says: 'Whoever has the great worldly right view will not go to evil realms even in thousands of lifetimes.' It is said. If one is separated from this right view, even if one abandons non-virtuous actions such as killing and stealing, one will ultimately experience inexhaustible results. As stated in Nagarjuna's 'Friendly Letter': 'Even if a person with wrong views practices well, they will experience unpleasant ripening.' It is said. The ten non-virtuous actions are: the physical actions of killing, stealing, and sexual misconduct; the verbal actions of lying, divisive speech, harsh speech, and idle chatter; the mental actions of covetousness, malice, and wrong views. Thus, abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions and practicing the ten virtuous actions leads to traversing the realms of gods and humans. Among them, according to the strength of virtuous actions, one can become a universal monarch, the ultimate in human happiness, and the lord of Paranirmita-vasavartin, the ultimate in the happiness of the desire realm gods. Furthermore, based on the previous practice of the ten virtues, meditating on the four immeasurables and the eight samadhis of absorption of form and formlessness leads to traversing the higher realms. And the former is called the vehicle of gods because it is mentioned with the primary term, and the latter is derived from the name of Brahma.

Because "Brahma" and "purity" etc. are included in it, here also, with the meaning of purifying defilements and purifying desire, all the gods of the upper realms are called the Brahma Vehicle. Moreover, it is said in the Extensive Treatise: "Practicing the ten virtues and abandoning non-virtue is the cause of being born in the desire realm as gods and humans. Practicing the four immeasurables and meditating on the immovable is the cause of being born in the Brahma realms etc." The second is the Hearer Vehicle. Derived from the word "śrāvaka," because one listens to the Dharma from one's own teacher and teaches the meaning one has heard to others, it is called Hearer or Proclaimer of Hearing. Its basis is to rely on the purity of discipline, and then to listen to and think about the inner treatises of knowledge in accordance with the Dharma, and to practice its meaning. Its entrance is through the Four Noble Truths. That is, listening to the Vinaya Pitaka from a guiding virtuous friend, contemplating the meaning of what is heard, practicing the meaning of what is contemplated, practicing ugliness as the antidote to desire, practicing love as the antidote to hatred, and practicing dependent origination as the antidote to ignorance, thereby making the mind suitable for calming and insight. By practicing the sixteen aspects of the Four Noble Truths, one purifies the objects to be abandoned on the path of seeing with the sixteen wisdoms in sequence, and after attaining the path of seeing, on the path of meditation, one abandons about the lower four of the nine defilements of the desire realm, and between the sixth and eighth, and through the sequence of abandoning the ninth, one attains the fruits of Stream-enterer, Once-returner, and Never-returner, and finally abandons all the defilements of the three realms. As it is said in the Extensive Treatise: "Understanding the meaning of the Four Truths, completely abandoning defilements, the sixteen wisdoms are completely practiced, attaining extreme peace. Through successively practicing the fruits of Stream-enterer etc., one goes to the place of peace where the enemies of defilements are extinguished." Its view is: that the coarse objects of apprehension, and the consciousness that grasps them, which has both permanence and momentariness, are considered to be inherently existent and can be analyzed with reason. But in reality, they are without inherent existence. However, regarding the self of phenomena, that is, the subtle particles of form, the Vaibhāṣikas believe that it is surrounded by intervals and without intervals, like a yak's tail and a cluster of young grass. The Sautrāntikas believe that it is intangible and unattached, like a pile of grain. Both schools believe that the grasping mind is momentary, and that the meaning
