If we take the summer season as an example, spring is the past, summer is the present, autumn is the future, and winter cannot be determined as either past or future, so it is called an uncertain time. Secondly, the explanation of the retinue of the Destroyer Wrathful One begins with "Destroyer Great Vajra Touch" and extends to "non-characteristic." This is divided into common and uncommon aspects. Firstly, in the common name, it is called "Destroyer Great," etc. If explained in relation to the four dharmas of the outer body, it means that the actions of body, speech, and mind can destroy all demons and wrong views. If combined with the four inner secret realms, it means that the lower three gates, in the bliss of play, hold the five aggregates as happy gods, and their actions of destroying them are far superior to others, hence the name "Great." Because it cannot be defeated by external enemies, it is called "Vajra." As stated in the Extensive Commentary: "The nature of Vajra destroys all obstacles, and cannot be defeated in any way. Self-born wisdom is the god of gods, and penetrates all." Therefore, the essence of the Destroyer must also be generated from the nature of the Dharmadhatu Mother, which is free from the four characteristics of permanence, annihilation, self, and characteristic. For example, to destroy white, one must generate something that is not white. Furthermore, although the four inverted cognitions do not directly generate the four dharmas of the body, they are generated indirectly. Secondly, the uncommon distinction is: the touch of the body's object, sense, and consciousness combined is the god Nectar Swirl; the object of touch is the god Hayagriva; the sense of touch of the body is the god Mahabala; the consciousness of touch is the experiencer, that is, the god Yama. The names of the mothers, such as permanence, annihilation, self, and characteristic, are the names of conceptual thoughts. Non-permanence, i.e., grasping at non-self, is the Wrathful Mother Vajra Hook; non-annihilation, i.e., grasping at the nature of suffering as self, is the Wrathful Mother Vajra Lasso; non-self, i.e., grasping at non-self, is the Wrathful Mother Vajra Chain; non-characteristic, i.e., grasping at emptiness, is the Wrathful Mother Vajra Bell. As stated in the Tantra of the Great Elephant's Utmost Joy: "Regarding the permanence of sentient beings,

The place is pure, that is, Vajra-aṅkuśa (བཛྲ་ཨངྒུ་ཤ་, Vajra-aṅkuśa, Vajra Hook). The "Small Commentary" says: Arising from characteristics such as permanence, it is called a consort. Furthermore, in the additional meaning, the retinues of the bodhisattvas and the wrathful herukas who subdue are called retinues with special wisdom because they are self-manifested from the wisdom light of the Teacher's mind. The "Ocean" says: Likewise, from the special nature of the mind, self-manifested victorious ones, minds, and so on. Also, the "Vajra" says: For the sake of the meaning of the self-aware wisdom continuum, by manifesting self-appearance as wisdom, that supreme vidyādhara is spontaneously accomplished. Even without the power of samādhi, it cannot be measured by the earth-protecting bodhisattvas. It is the same realm as the Sugata himself, and is the one who has received prophecy as a wise person. The "Extensive One" says: I pervade all of this, and do not see any other nature of beings. Moreover, there are also the great worldly gods who hold worldly aspects and reside in the outer environment, listening to the Dharma with faith. The "Root Text" says: The great gods who listen with faith. The "Branch" says: In order to rule over all, surrounded by the great worldly gods. The "Clear Explanation" says: The nature of samsara also self-manifests as self-nature, so externally it is surrounded by great gods such as Mahādeva, each possessing their own offerings, wealth, and adornments. Therefore, the measure of the retinue of the teachings as spoken is that the dharmadhātu is universally boundless, like a sesame ball, pervading from everywhere. This shows the measure of pervasiveness and the measure of multitude. First, the measure of pervasiveness is that the meaning of dharmadhātu is, for example, just as sesame oil pervades sesame seeds, and sesame seeds pervade oil, it inherently exists in a state of pervasiveness. Second, the measure of multitude is, if one wonders how many of the previously mentioned retinues there are, it is impossible to determine a specific number. So, the pervasive and numerous retinues...
