Because (in the scriptures) it says "alcohol," etc., and in some places it says "then explain the secret," etc. There is also no fault of inverted timing, as the *Ratnakuta Sutra* says, "Light Protector, sentient beings and the suchness of dharma do not come from anywhere, do not go anywhere, and do not abide anywhere, therefore it is uncertain, that is an inconceivable time," speaking of four times. Also, the kalpas spoken of in the *Abhidharmakosha*, such as formation, duration, destruction, and emptiness, etc., are also because of inverted timing. There is also no fault of inverting the main and retinue, for if the speaker of the tantra must be the main deity of the mandala, then Shakyamuni Buddha would not appear as the main deity of the Manjushri Illusion Net mandala. "The days and number of days for practice, do as stated in the tantra," there is also no fault of shifting responsibility to other tantras, because in the *Dakini Samvara Tantra*, etc., it also says, "Practice... Tantra..." etc., which is also shifting responsibility to other tantras. Therefore, one should not refute each other with common and uncommon tenets, as the commentary on the *Ornament of Clear Realization* says, "This is merely another tenet, therefore one should never rely on other tenets to raise refutations," because (the scriptures) say so. Third, explaining the perfection of the teacher who speaks, which includes explaining the nature of the teacher and explaining the essence of the teacher. First, explaining the nature of the teacher, as (the text) says, "The Tathagata, the perfectly complete Buddha, the Bhagavan, the great enjoyment, the nature of the Vajra of all the Tathagatas of the ten directions and four times, all that is without remainder, without deficiency, not individual, not other, the inseparable nature," this is what the speaker indicates. In general, the nature of the teacher refers to the fact that the phenomena, including all dharmas and the nature of dharma, which are encompassed by samsara and nirvana, abide inseparably, therefore it is called the nature of the teacher. Differentiating this, as the *Body Mandala* says, "The nature of the teacher possesses eight qualities, the self is Samantabhadra," therefore, separating the perfectly complete enlightenment, it speaks of eight qualities, and again in the *Small Commentary* it says, "Bhagavan," etc., summarizing the essence into four, among which is "Supreme Bodhi."

The essence and, the enjoyment of all phenomena in play, the lord of the Sugatas of all directions and times, and inseparable from all dharmas. Thus it is said. In short, there are many different views, such as the inseparability of the nature of the teacher's samsara, and the inseparability of the dharma and nature of nirvana, summarizing samsara and nirvana into two. Here, according to the Spar Khab, "Although the qualities of the Sixth Vajradhara are infinite, they are summarized into seven," therefore, the nature of maturing in suchness, the nature of spontaneously accomplishing without seeking qualities, the nature of wisdom without beginning or end, the nature of having dominion over the result but whose essence cannot be shown, the nature of manifesting equality but being free from the realm of activity, the nature of all Tathagatas being liberated from one and many, the great self of non-duality, the nature of being inseparable in the three times, past, present, and future, are explained as seven natures. Among them, the first, the nature of maturing in suchness, is explained by "Tathagata." Furthermore, the term "Tathagata" is derived from the word "Tathāgata" (Sanskrit). "Tathā" (Sanskrit) means "suchness." "Gata" (Sanskrit) means "gone," "come," "knowing," "protecting," and so on. Also, how the previous Buddhas went through the practice of enlightenment, and going and coming in accordance with that path, knowing and seeing suchness, and going through the practice of means of how the appearance of desire appears, and beings are born in four ways. In accordance with their minds, it also includes womb-born beings, etc. Here, the meaning of the nature of dharma, suchness, is not tainted by the obscuration of clinging, without the grasper and the grasped, therefore it is "suchness." In its expanse, without seeking qualities, it is spontaneously accomplished, therefore it is called "maturing." As the Uttaratantra says, "Why does he go in suchness? The Tathagata is manifestly proclaimed." Thus it is said. Secondly, the nature of spontaneously accomplishing without seeking qualities is indicated by "perfect enlightenment." Its meaning is that because self-born wisdom possesses immeasurable qualities of great fruit, it is "perfect," and in its expanse, without seeking qualities, it is spontaneously accomplished, therefore it is said to be "enlightenment."
