Because all the phenomena of samsara and nirvana are contained within that bindu, it is the essence. By practicing it in conjunction with the retaining winds, it generates unwavering bliss, so it is Suchness. It is determined as the true basis of the intention of the three—ground, path, and fruit—so it is certain. Through these, because the beginning has been mentioned, the name of the tantra has been explained to those who understand all the meanings of the tantra, possess the eye of Dharma, and have superior faculties. The second chapter, from the Melodious Sounds of Auspicious Bees, which reveals the meaning of the name to those with superior faculties. It is said: With the songs of words, names, and three melodies, understanding the meaning of the great secret essence and the key points of the instructions, bestowing the glory of all joy upon the hearts of the wise, this is like clarifying in the realm of appearances. The wisdom of skillful means is the realm of great bliss, the wisdom of emptiness expands in the sphere of reality, the coemergent, unconditioned Vajra Mind, reveals the nature of the equality of samsara and nirvana. Aggregates, elements, spheres, primordial deities, symbols and signs of realization, the establishment of the four networks of illusion, from the stages of realization relying on provisional meanings to distinguish, thereby showing the union with the meaning of certainty of reality. The realm of the innate ground-continuum, difficult to realize through analysis, like a guide who accompanies actions, even when near, it cannot be seen, becoming extremely deluded, the sound of Guhya manifests as four eyes. The most profound of the profound, the unique path of mantra, surpassing other vehicles of cause and effect with various differences of skillful means, this key point of skillful liberation is the teaching of the essence of instructions. The ground is unaltered at the time of the basis, the path is not mistaken, the fruit has not become other than the basis, it is the reality of Suchness. In that Suchness, at the place of the sixth lineage lord, even if it manifests, one obtains the fruit of the wish-fulfilling jewel. The basis of the nature of reality, primordially free from obscurations, the means that manifests it becomes the path of the fruit, the fruit of primordially as it is, free from realization and without attainment, is taught summarized in the unique vehicle. Secondly, for those of middling faculties, explaining the general meaning by distinguishing aspects, there are two types: explaining the distinctions of the categories of meaning, and explaining the distinctions of the categories of words. The first is the category of meaning, which means not relying on words but relying on meaning, not relying on provisional meaning but relying on definitive meaning.

Therefore, it is necessary to explain through the four ways of not relying on the contaminated but relying on the Dharma, and not relying on consciousness but relying on wisdom. Regarding this, the 'Eye Commentary' states, 'In the general collection of scriptures, there are five types of distinctions.' Therefore, the cause for the arising of the tantra is the introduction, the condition is the instigation, the result is the complete understanding of the meaning of the tantra, the necessary connection of the meaning of the tantra, and the instruction to the retinue and the entrustment of the teachings, these are the five sections. First, the cause for the arising of the tantra, which is the introduction, is further divided into three: essence, definition, and division. First, the essence: The 'Later Tantra Commentary' states, 'The teacher and others, by excellent distinction, have explained the five perfections.' Therefore, who is the teacher? In which place? With which retinue is the gathering? At that time, the common and uncommon meanings of the tantra will definitely arise. Therefore, these five perfections are called the introduction. If any one of these five perfections is incomplete, the perfect Dharma will not arise. Also, it is said, 'From the teacher, place, and retinue gathering, time and teachings naturally arise.' Furthermore, adding the compiler of the teachings on top of these, there is also the explanation of six perfections, as stated in the 'Abdominal Treatise': 'The teacher, place, retinue, and compiler, time and Dharma nature should be known.' Second, the definition: Why is it called the introduction? Because for those who doubt whether what is spoken from the word dāna (梵文,dāna,梵文罗马拟音,dāna,布施) is the Buddha's word or not, the history of the five perfections is told, thereby bestowing certainty of faith. Then, what is bestowed? The certainty of faith is bestowed. To whom is it bestowed? It is bestowed to those who doubt and are uncertain whether it is the Buddha's word or not. In what way is it bestowed? It is bestowed by telling the history of the five perfections. Generally, the Sanskrit term for introduction is dāna (梵文,dāna,梵文罗马拟音,dāna,布施), which when translated into Tibetan, dāna (梵文,dāna,梵文罗马拟音,dāna,布施) means generosity. If it is translated in this way, there is concern that it may be confused with the generosity of horses, livestock, and wealth, etc. Therefore, the translators made a compilation of common basis, these five perfections are both the cause for the arising of the tantra and the basis for discussing the tantra, therefore, these five perfections are called the introduction.
