This statement is spoken. The following nineteen and a half chapters are considered to directly explain the tantra. Master Vimala believes that from the questioning of the parents in the second chapter, the causes and conditions are complete, and then from "From then on, the great self of non-duality," the meaning of the tantra is explained. Pandit Rongzom Chenpo believes that the first chapter is the introduction, the second chapter is the questioning of the parents of Kuntu Zangpo, and the generation of two bodhicitta for sentient beings who have not realized it, the third chapter is their blessing, showing the way to benefit sentient beings through the manifestation of the six Munis and the four methods of taming, and from the fourth chapter onwards, the essence of the tantra is explained. No matter how these views are explained, there is no contradiction, but because this is the first precept of the lineage, it is temporarily regarded as a compass. The second part has three points: first, examining the subject of the dharma as the object to be measured; second, examining the reason as the means of measurement; and third, examining the tenets established after such measurement. The first point is: In general, there are three ways to establish the subject of the occasion and necessity, that is, when two debaters debate, based on the necessity established by valid cognition on the level of knowledge, establishing one thing that is established in the common appearance of both sides; when imparting instructions, based on the necessity of conforming to the student's mindstream, establishing the eight aggregates of consciousness including the place; when explaining the scriptures, based on the necessity of determining the nature of the dharma, establishing all the dharmas that include two things, therefore it is necessary to examine which one is identified here, and in which realm of the Alaya consciousness or the six consciousnesses the object to be measured exists, and how the conceptual consciousness itself is transformed into the wisdom of discernment. Also, is the object to be measured measuring Nirvana or Samsara? If it is the former, then the self-characteristic of the past is hidden from the consciousness of intention and practice, so it is not suitable. If it is the latter, then is the self-characteristic of Samsara measuring only the appearance itself, or measuring the knowledge of attachment and fabrication? If it is the former, then it is unreasonable, because mere appearance cannot be refuted by reason, and if it is refuted, it will fall into fault. If it is the latter, then because knowledge is the nature of the three moments, the past and future have ceased and have not arisen, so it cannot be measured, and because the present mind with concepts is transformed into the thinking consciousness, it is not established as the object to be measured, so it cannot be measured.

Not understanding oneself, one cannot measure oneself, just as the edge of a sword cannot cut itself. Furthermore, if it is thought that the momentary consciousness of the present can measure the clinging appearances of each, then, when the stream of consciousness manifests on the moment, it is not that they gather simultaneously to measure, because it must be admitted that when one manifests, the other remains in a latent state. In that case, does the thinking consciousness arise after the pure clinging appearance, or does it arise after the impure clinging appearance? If the former, then the thinking consciousness becomes meaningless; if the latter, then it becomes having two streams of consciousness. If it must be considered that the discriminating thinking consciousness is not an illusion, then one would fall into the state of being liberated effortlessly, and because it takes the self-characterized imputed nature as its object, it will inevitably fall into that, and this must be avoided. Even if there is reason to refute that because the clinging appearance has already been established, there is no need to measure it with reason, but if it is said that way, one would fall into the situation where the clinging appearance is determined, but the nature of reality cannot be determined, because they are different, and this should be considered. Furthermore, clinging appearances are inconceivable, so they cannot be measured, and whether the two clinging appearances of samsara and nirvana are measured separately or unifiedly also needs to be examined. In this case, if examining whether samsara has a beginning and an end, then the superiors said that in general there is no beginning and no end, but individually there is an end. If that is the case, then does the general encompass the individual? If it does not encompass, then because it does not encompass what is needed, it becomes not general. Secondly, it is not necessary to represent the methods of measuring these measurables with three reasons, and it cannot be thought that way. According to this system, common and uncommon are determined as two, firstly, the common one is the reason of truth, among which the two common equalities among the four equalities are merely for the sake of making the following correct, or that the yogis of this path must also view equality in these ways, which is indicated through the key points. If it is explained that it is indicated from the last wheel of self-arisen wisdom, then it needs to be examined whether it can be considered an additional equality. The uncommon reason is the four realizations and the three purities, among which one aspect of the former that has the same cause is the Paramita Vehicle.
