The Vajra Master, dressed in splendid attire, circumambulates the mandala in a vajra gait, entering from the eastern gate and sitting in the center facing east. Visualize the main deity as the union of father and mother, generating the retinue from the clouds of bodhicitta. Invite and offer to them. Four disciples holding the pride of the four mothers say to the Vajra Master from their respective directions: starting from the east, "The peaceful wisdom is self-manifest." Similarly, from the south is increase, from the west is attraction, and from the north is subjugation. They jointly pray for merit and wisdom, while the Vajra Master holds the vajra and bell, smiling, and with "the ten directions without remainder, the three times," etc., invokes the blessings of the Tathagatas residing in the sky, and gathers them with four Hums (ཧཱུྃ,hum,hūṃ,seed syllable). With the angry eyes blazing with the pride of wrathful vajra, the Vajra Holder, the sun, the Dharma, and the horse king illuminating, I am also the great sovereign, and none can transgress my command. Reciting the mantra of Sumbha (སུམ་བྷ,sumbha, sumbha, subjugation) and circumambulating in a vajra gait, bless the earth to become the nature of vajra. The seventh is protection, establishing the protective wheel and the boundaries of the five weapons. The ritual says, "On the eight spokes pervading the sky, Sumbha on the sun suppresses the gods, and the ten wrathful ones are taken from the heart and placed." The order of the five weapons must also be done according to the scriptures. The eighth is seizing, according to the practice of the previous masters, at this time, the branches and the remaining disciples are made to stay. The actual seizing is, in order not to confuse the position of the deities, draw a circle equal to the size of the mandala, make dots equal to the number of deities, and arrange flower clusters. From the union of the main father and mother, the palace of the mind-cloud and the deities are generated, and after inviting, offering, and praising them, by invoking the vows of the deities, the assembly of deities dissolves into the earth playing with light, and the nature of the mandala is visualized as clear, which is seizing. The ritual says, "With the splendor of the definite words playing, make everything clear as the nature of the mandala, which is completely seized." These are the meanings of "equal ground," that is, from the attachment to the ground and the foundation, everything is self-awareness and enlightenment.

It is to symbolize the equal union in the mind. Second, the size of the mandala: As it says in this very text, "The mandala should be one cubit in size." etc. Therefore, there are three sizes: concise, medium, and extensive. That is, each side is one cubit high and eight fingers around, or each side is four cubits, that is, one body length, which is the size of a concise mandala. Also, each side is three body lengths, that is, twelve cubits and sixteen cubits, these two are medium sizes. Each side is twenty cubits or twenty-five cubits, which is the size of an extensive mandala. These three, extensive, medium, and concise, all have two sizes, as it says in the ritual, "The size is not fixed by circumstances." This is because it is influenced by the craftsmanship of the vajra master, the width of the house, and the size of the disciple's wealth. The size of the shape is that the center is high and the surroundings are level. If the east is high, the lifespan is short; if the north is high, wealth is exhausted, so the east and north sides should be slightly lower. Third, the line: As it says in this very text, "Pegs, thread, pigment powder." etc. Among them, there are seven points: substance, assistant, size, number, blessing, method of placement, and avoidance of faults. Substance: Generally speaking, the meaning of line is unchanging. As its substance, there are two kinds of pegs: fixed pegs and surrounding pegs. There are also two kinds of lines: the substance of the original pledge line, lotus thread for peaceful deities, and large rope for wrathful deities. Both are the substance of the pledge line, purchased with clean cotton wool at the price of a hero. The assistant is a sixteen-year-old girl with good features who spins the thread, adorned with peaceful ornaments. The size is that the length is twice the mandala, and the thickness is one-twentieth of the door. The number is colored with pigment, the original pledge line is twenty-five strands or five strands combined, and the pledge line is nine strands combined or three strands combined. The blessing is that the original wisdom line is blessed as the five wisdoms, and the pledge line is blessed as body, speech, and mind. The methods of placement are placing the pledge line and placing the original wisdom line. First, from the union of Vajrasattva father and mother deities, place the line that has the nature of the body, speech, and mind of the pledge line. As it says in the ritual, "After dividing the directions well, expand each according to its size." Therefore, there are two Brahma lines, two corner lines, and four root lines, a total of eight major lines.
