Furthermore, due to the lack of proper alignment, a whirlwind of winds arises in the pervasive consciousness-wind. From this arises the fire-wind, from this the water-wind, and from this the earth-wind. In samsara, actions and consciousness become clear, and thus the seven conceptualizations born of ignorance arise. From this, coarse misperceptions increase, and thus the forty conceptualizations born of desire and the thirty-three conceptualizations of hatred arise, resulting in a total of eighty conceptualizations of inherent nature. Through the power of the combined union of the five elements' winds and consciousness, the bardo body appears as a single being with all faculties complete. It possesses a slight light, feeds on odors, has subtle clairvoyance, and can traverse the three thousand worlds merely by thinking of them, except for Vajrasana (Bodh Gaya) and the mother's womb. Beings of the same kind can see it with pure divine eyes, but others cannot see it. It accomplishes things swiftly. As stated in the Treasury of Knowledge (Abhidharmakosha): "Possessing all faculties, unimpeded movement, miraculous powers of karma, endowed with light, seen by those with pure divine eyes of the same kind, the irreversible one feeds on odors." Thus it is said. In the "Purifying Terrifying Lightning" (Sbyong byed rngam glog): "Secondly, all appearances are within the nature of space, because it is pervaded by the three compassions, meditate on the great expansive samadhi." Thus it says. In the Stages of the Path (Lam Rim): "By habituating the king of self-awareness, one will surely attain supreme enlightenment. Therefore, after seeing that, that very nature, establish it as the basis for the arising of compassion. The order of arising is also the same." Thus it says. Moreover, just as a rainbow suddenly appears in the clear expanse of the sky, yet it is not truly established, being merely a display of the sky, similarly, the reality of emptiness, the state of being inseparable from samsara and nirvana, remains unmoved. However, like not knowing the nature of illusion, beings who grasp appearances as real are deluded and helplessly wander in samsara. Thinking, "May these beings be liberated from suffering," one should meditate on all-encompassing, ungrasping compassion for all sentient beings included in the six realms, viewing them as illusory. This is the yoga of illusory compassion. How does one apply it to the path? Within the samadhi of all appearances, from the aspect of conduct appearing as illusory, one should meditate on the path that resembles both the bardo and the resultant Sambhogakaya (enjoyment body).

It also becomes the seed for future lives. The incarnate Buddha also manifests various kinds of illusions from the perspective of taming the minds of beings, and these three are similar in form. Therefore, the thought that a pure rebirth is an incarnation arises, thereby generating the pride of purity and perfection. From this, the cause of bringing the habits of samsara into the place of birth is purified downwards, as well as the discriminating thoughts that cling to the duality of appearance and emptiness. Upwards, the seed of manifesting the incarnate body is nurtured, thereby perfecting the result. In the middle, the foundation is laid for the ability to manifest the wisdom deity from the bliss (and) wind-mind, thereby making the upper path a maturing factor of the completion stage. Secondly, in the gross aspect, there are also two types: the support and the supported. The first is: the basis to be purified, the purifier, and the result of purification. The basis to be purified is: the realm of space, which is the basis for the formation of the container world, and the general sentient beings that depend on it, and in particular, the sentient beings with similar karma, whose habits are distributed in the mind, causing the appearance of the external environment to change. What matures in common is the mandala of the four elements, that is, the mandala composed of the four elements and Mount Sumeru. As it is said in the "Entering the Middle Way": "The nature of mind is able to establish the sentient world and the container world, with extremely diverse differences. All sentient beings are said to be born from karma, and apart from mind, there is no karma." The purifier is: Mount Sumeru and so on, which arise from the seed of the cause. The release and absorption of light rays arise from the seed, thereby purifying the five elements and the clinging to them. The essence of the five elements is gathered, becoming the qualities of the five wisdoms, and then dissolving. From the seed, the five elements and Mount Sumeru arise. On top of the base that becomes the lower foundation of the palace, the wisdom jewel palace is visualized, making its dimensions and characteristics complete. The result of purification is: the pure land where the Buddhas attain enlightenment is the Dharmadhatu, which itself is pure as the nature of the five mothers. As it is said in the "Illusion Tantra Great Play": "All external objects such as earth, etc., are inseparable from skillful means and wisdom. The firm Vajra Eye Mother nature, the moist goddess Mamaki, the maturing burning white-clothed mother, the vast and moving Tara's space, the empty and clear sky Samantabhadri." From this, the habits of (samsara) are purified downwards, causing the container world to appear as ordinary self-grasping. Upwards, the pure land of the Buddhas is completely purified.
