There are two internal divisions. Thus, it is explained as seven vehicles. Like this, seven. In the Great Sky (Namkha Che): 'Thus, beyond the eight vehicles.' Like this, eight. The three sections of characteristics, the three sections of outer tantras, the three sections of inner tantras, Thus, dividing into nine successive vehicles. Also, the two vehicles of gods and humans as they are. The five categories of outsiders. The nine internal orders. The vehicle of clear light vajra essence, thus explained as sixteen. From the Lankavatara Sutra: 'As long as the mind is engaged, there is no end to the vehicles.' Thus, it is explained as inconceivable. In short, everything is merely an appearance to the levels of the mind. Therefore, as long as the levels of the mind are not exhausted, there is no end to the vehicles. For a yogi whose mind is pure in its essence, the nature of what is called a vehicle does not exist at all, so it should be known like the sky. Therefore, one should not be alarmed or scornful of these divisions and collections of the categories of vehicles, because they were made by Vajradhara and great masters who have attained accomplishment. Second, according to what is known in this particular tantra text, there are the vehicles of gods and humans, the Hearer vehicle, the Solitary Realizer vehicle, the Bodhisattva vehicle, and the Secret Mantra vehicle. Because of taming the disciples of the five types of dispositions, the distinctions of the vehicles are also divided into five categories and taught. First, explaining the vehicle of gods and humans, there are also two: definition and division. First, from the sound of 'manusya' (藏文,梵文:manusya,梵文罗马拟音:manuṣya,汉语字面意思:person), meaning a person in whom the mind is dominant, and from the sound of 'deva' (藏文,梵文:deva,梵文罗马拟音:deva,汉语字面意思:god), meaning a god who enjoys happiness. There are two divisions, of which the human vehicle is to abandon the ten non-virtues and practice the ten virtues, thereby being liberated from the lower realms and being born as a human in the higher realms. If one becomes very accustomed to the ten virtues themselves, one will be born in the six desire realms. On top of practicing the ten virtues as a basis, by meditating on the four immeasurables and the eight unmoving samadhi absorptions, one will progress to the rank of gods in the two upper realms. Among these, the former is called the god vehicle with the term 'chief,' and the latter is called the Brahma vehicle because of the purity and cleanliness of the desired qualities. Furthermore, in the Stages, it is said: 'Practicing the ten virtues and abandoning non-virtue is the cause of being born as a god and a human in the desire realm. Practicing the four immeasurables and meditating on the unmoving is the cause of being born in the Brahma realm and so on.' Thus it is said.

Secondly, the Hearer Vehicle is divided into two: definition and classification. Firstly, the term "Śrāva-ka" means hearing and proclaiming, symbolizing listening to the teacher's teachings and proclaiming them to others. The classification has three aspects: basis, path, and result. The basis is the absence of grasping at a self or what belongs to a self in relation to the aggregates and other phenomena; for objects, the coarse objects of apprehension are the conventional truth, and indivisible particles are the ultimate truth; the continuum of the apprehending mind is the conventional truth, and moments are established as the ultimate truth, and abiding in the three trainings. The path consists of the small, medium, and large stages of the accumulation path, practicing the four mindfulnesses and the four right abandonments. In the path of preparation, in the heat and peak stages, one cultivates the five powers of faith, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, and wisdom; and in the forbearance and supreme dharma stages, one cultivates the five strengths such as faith. In the path of seeing, one cultivates the seven branches of enlightenment: mindfulness, discrimination of phenomena, diligence, joy, pliancy, concentration, and equanimity. In the path of meditation, one cultivates the eightfold noble path: right view, thought, speech, action, livelihood, effort, mindfulness, and concentration. The result is attaining the remainder and non-remainder and abiding in the realm of peace. That is, by adopting and abandoning the four truths, one attains higher grounds in the sixteen moments of the path of seeing and manifests the fruits of stream-enterer, once-returner, non-returner, and arhat. As stated in the Le Lag: "By understanding the meaning of the four truths and thoroughly abandoning them, the sixteen wisdoms are like water, well-purified and extremely peaceful. Gradually purified through stream-enterer and so on, the enemies of afflictions are pacified, and one goes to the land of peace." Thirdly, the Solitary Realizer Vehicle is also divided into two: definition and classification. Firstly, from the term "Pratyeka-buddha," "Pratyeka" means each individually, and "buddha" means buddha, that is, at the final moment of existence, without relying on the teachings of a teacher, the realization of the path arises naturally in one's own mind-stream, thereby manifesting enlightenment. There are also three types: practicing in a sangha with large or small groups, and abiding alone like a rhinoceros horn. The classification of this vehicle has three aspects: basis, path, and result. The basis is knowing that external and internal phenomena arise dependently, which is samsara, and that liberation from dependence leads to the attainment of nirvana.
