One should always care with love and compassion. As it says in Ngamglok, "Draw out the power of love and compassion, look at each other like eyes." Fifth, do not reveal secrets. The places are: As it says in Tragyä, "Those who have broken their vows, deviated from their vows, those without vows who have not seen the mandala, and all mixed and unmixed." These should be kept secret. It says, "Four common secrets and four intermediate secrets, and ten appropriate and entrusted." Among them, the four common secrets are: "Profound view, rough behavior, deity name, dharani, and signs of accomplishment." Therefore, the profound view is kept secret from those of lesser intelligence, such as the Hinayana, and behavior is kept secret from the unmixed. If you show the yidam deity, mantra, and signs of accomplishment to the unmixed, you will break your vows; even if you show them to the mixed, you will lose your accomplishments, so you must keep them completely secret. The four intermediate secrets are: As it says in Seltrā, "The place, time, substance, and companions of practice, should be kept secret in the middle and practiced." Therefore, it should be kept secret during the practice. What is appropriate to keep secret are: offerings and secret practices, and the misconduct of fellow practitioners, etc., which should not be seen or heard. What is entrusted to keep secret are: the instructions from the lama and fellow practitioners to "keep this and that secret." These are not kept secret because there is a defect in the Dharma itself, but rather: "Secret mantras themselves have no defects, they are kept secret for the benefit of sentient beings. If you can keep them secret, accomplishments will not disappear, and various symbols are taught for the sake of secrecy." These five are the basis of all paths and fruits, and are therefore called the root vows. If summarized, they can be summarized into three: guarding the lama and fellow practitioners is the body vow, mantras and mudras are the speech vow, and bodhicitta and the ten secrets are the mind vow. Second, the branch vows are: five that should not be abandoned, and five that should not be discarded. The first is: As it says in this very text, "Ignorance, attachment, and hatred, pride, and jealousy should not be abandoned." Regarding this, Seltrā says, "The vows not to be abandoned should be explained, namely the five true poisons and the five false poisons." Among them, the first is: when realizing the equality of all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, that is, ignorance where there is no partiality in view and no acceptance or rejection in behavior.

Ignorance. Attachment arising from compassion for beings who do not understand in this way is desire. Destroying wrong views with self-arisen wisdom is hatred. Not letting the view of realizing equality fall into a low state is pride. Jealousy is when dualistic views and actions are not accommodated in the space of equality. These are not abandoned for the sake of the benefit of oneself, others, and the Dharma.

Furthermore, abandon negative actions such as standing, sitting, lying down, etc. Similarly, abandon ornaments and other gaudy things. Abandon all base behaviors. Make your conduct a place of mindfulness and caution. Never engage in lying, slander, harsh words, or idle chatter. Abandon meaningless, vulgar language. Speaking ill of others in secret will lead to your own decline. Proclaim virtues and speak pleasantly. By refraining from meaningless noise and the like, you will receive the teachings of the Buddha Vajra. Towards the sacred teacher, the Lama, do not harbor the five poisons of attachment, hatred, ignorance, pride, and jealousy. Do not think ill of others; regard them as you would your parents and Yidam. Always maintain a continuous stream of devotion. Thus it is said. Regarding Mudras, there are also thirty. Among them, there are seven peaceful and seven wrathful Mudras, the mantras for binding directions, supports, and dwellings, the four mantras for the generation stage and activities, the secret mantras for empowerment, blessings, and gathering, as well as invocation, absorption, instruction, prostration, and offering. Thus it is said. Regarding love for fellow practitioners, there are also thirty. Among them, do not steal or take what is not given, do not use mantras other than the moonlight gem, do not diminish the status of those with higher views and conduct, and the same goes for power and vows. Always be tolerant, cautious, and measured. Serve with respect and joyfully act. Abandon the four types of falsehood, do not speak of secrets, do not discuss the faults of others, speak pleasantly, speak respectfully, speak truthfully, and serve with reverence. As before, abandon the five poisons from your mind. Abandon greed and miserliness. Look upon others as you would your own eyes and have compassion. Abandon harmful thoughts, and so on, these are the ten aspects. Thus it is said. Not revealing secrets also has thirty aspects. Among them, because it is a secret, do not speak of it. There are four common and four intermediate secrets, and ten appropriate and entrusted matters. Do not intend to reveal it in your mind, do not speak of it with your mouth, and do not reveal it through bodily gestures. These are the thirty aspects. Thus it is said. Each of the ten branch vows is divided into twenty, making a total of two hundred. As it is said in this very text: The branch vows themselves are five, and each one is divided into twenty. Thus it is said. Among these, the vows that are not to be abandoned are divided into one hundred, meaning that each of the five afflictions, such as hatred, is not abandoned through skillful means and wisdom, but is divided into twenty aspects each. The vows that are not to be discarded are: each of the five nectars, the four manifest external aspects, and the four hidden internal aspects, so the root is eight.
