Meaning. It is not the meaning of shape, but the guide and entrance to all letters, so it has the meaning of being like a road and a line. The meaning expressed is true and upright, and it is also explained as a line, so the meaning of line and road are explained as the same. In the Sutra Requested by Embodied Heart it says: Forty-two letters are the path, the infallible and sacred is the line, from the sole of the foot one enters the letter, the head of the letter is called the line. The so-called 'Berka Ri' refers to the first branch of the A, representing the unborn, the shape is explained as Berka Ri. All letters are symbolic deities, and the deities of mudras are also symbolic, although the Dharmata Suchness deity transcends face and hands, the qualities of Dharmata must be symbolized and understood through face, hands, and marks. The meaning of letters, for example, dust gathered together is a lump, therefore a particle is the place that holds the lump. Similarly, the ultimate of a name is the last letter of the name, and from the gathering of the last letter of the name, a letter bound by a vowel is formed. From these gatherings, the names of things such as vases are formed. Through these formations, the entire collection of words is formed. Therefore, the letter is the place that holds all words. The nature of letters, although the nature of mind is free from elaboration, merely as an illusion, it accomplishes the deeds of the Buddha through shape, color, and name. As it says in this very text: The nature of unreal letters is mind, selfless, free from extremes, invisible, yet from the collection of shapes, colors, and names, it plays, emanates, and reveals whatever it may be. That is, the way in which the letters themselves are deities is: As it says in this very text: This great gathering of the wheel of letters, gathers the garlands of body, speech, and mind. And, the fruit is the ripened victor, the forty-two wonderful collections of names. And, all the Tathagatas have become the wheel of letters. Because it is said so.

In order to show the glory of the great king. This treatise, etc., from this, the mandala of the wrathful deity, the essence of all Tathagatas, the lord of all Buddhas, is manifested. This treatise is derived from this, because of the sixth reason, the glorious Samantabhadra Buddha, in order to subdue those difficult-to-subdue beings, showed the beginning of the wrathful deity who appeared earlier, showed the perfect form, and will surely show the supreme wonderful Dharma, subduing males with the act of killing, and subduing females with the act of union. After that, the treatise of the great Tathagata, etc., appeared. In the perfect retinue, there are two kinds of retinue: the retinue of difficult-to-subdue beings, and the retinue of the subduer's antidote. First, in order to show the former, why? Because "deluded by the self-grasping" etc. appeared. In order to show the latter, because "Some transformed into the glorious great blood-drinking Vajra, residing in the east." etc., this treatise appeared. If you want to derive it like this, then, Rudra, in the past, at the time of all establishment kalpas, relied on the difficult-to-subdue young monk, if he did not truly transform, even if he diligently practiced on the four things, it would be like clouds in the sky, this is not the path of supreme yoga. Because he practiced according to the literal meaning and went astray, he became the Rudra of karma. Because he did not realize the true nature of the view and practiced like that, he went astray. The sutra says: "If you practice without realization, you will be born in the place of hungry ghosts and rakshasas." For this reason. Rudra, you did not realize the hidden secret view of reality, and practiced the hidden secret conduct, union, liberation, and confusion, With the result of Vipaka, he was born in hell and hungry ghosts, and between twelve thousand great kalpas and six great kalpas, he experienced the suffering of hot and cold hells and the hunger and thirst of hungry ghosts. Because the sutra says so. If you say that this is to show the way, but you have not actually experienced it, then, Rudra Black Liberation practiced mantras at will in the past, wrathful deities and consorts, etc.
