For example, O son of the Victorious One, the wisdom of the Tathagata, the immeasurable wisdom, and the wisdom that closely nourishes all sentient beings, all dwell completely in the mind-streams of all sentient beings. The mind-streams of sentient beings are as immeasurable as the wisdom of the Tathagata. Although this is so, ordinary people bound by the clinging of concepts do not know the wisdom of the Tathagata, do not thoroughly know it, do not experience it, and do not directly realize it. Therefore, the Tathagata, with the unattached wisdom of the Tathagata, sees all the realms of sentient beings in the realm of phenomena and has the thought: Alas! These sentient beings do not know the true wisdom of the Tathagata, nor do they follow the wisdom of the Tathagata. In any case, I shall show these sentient beings the noble path, so as to remove all the bonds born of concepts. Just as one generates the power of noble wisdom, unties the great knot of concepts, individually realizes the wisdom of the Tathagata, and actually attains equality with the Tathagata, so too, by teaching the path of the Tathagata, I shall cause them to be liberated from all the bonds born of concepts. For those who are liberated from all the bonds born of concepts, the immeasurable wisdom of the Tathagata will become a close nourishment for all beings. Also, in the Sutra of No Increase or Decrease, it is said: Shariputra, what is called Suchness is another name for the realm of sentient beings. Shariputra, what is called the realm of sentient beings is another name for the essence of the Tathagata. Also, in the Sutra of the Essence of the Tathagata, it is said: Sons of good family, this is the suchness, the nature of phenomena. Whether the Tathagatas appear or do not appear, these sentient beings always have the essence of the Tathagata. Because it is spoken thus. And, in the treatises that explain the meaning of those, the Uttaratantra, it says: The body of the perfect Buddha is for the benefit, and because Suchness is without distinction, and because of having the lineage.
