"The three meditations are perfected at once." Thus it is said. Second, the gradual one: Again, gradually realizing, becoming accustomed to, and reaching the ultimate is the gradual one. As it is shown. To explain it briefly: In this very text, it says, "The one who possesses the characteristics of knowing and entering, the one who is the cause and condition for the ripening of fruits, the one who has become powerful, is known as the field of the vidyādharas." Thus, there are three characteristics: the cause, the characteristic of knowing is the view; the condition, the characteristic of entering is samādhi; the result of the transformation of the path is the four vidyādharas. The first one: In the Stages of the Path, it says, "The meaning of establishing the ground and the reason." Thus, the object to be measured, the appearance of clinging itself, is determined by the reasons that measure it. How is it determined? In the Stages of the Path, it says, "The five things, the five ways, and the five words." Thus, there are the reasons of the five things that arise first, the reasons of the five ways that follow, and the reasons of the five words, making three. The first one: Showing what arises first, showing with the five bodies, the Dharmakāya with the unborn meaning of speech to the retinue of the ocean of wisdom; the Sambhogakāya with the indication of the ocean of ripening intention; the Nirmāṇakāya with the words of the ocean of faith; the Vajrakāya with the Vajra speech to the indivisible Vajra retinue; the Abhisambodhikāya communicates with the blessing of awareness to the ocean of the victorious ones. To each of the five retinues, through the gate of the five speeches, the meaning of the nature of reality is actually determined. In that very text, it says, "The truly complete Buddha shows, to the retinue that is tamed by the five bodies, the five speeches show that alone, determining and measuring." Thus it is said. The second one: To those of sharpest faculties, taking these phenomena of appearance and sound as examples, they realize in the manner of the speech of the five bodies determined by the five things. In that very text, it says, "To the intelligent ones who possess realization, various things mantra of the secret mind. Because it is scriptural authority, it shows the way of dharma. Expressing it like speech, because it is explained by its own nature, the reason for the future meaning is certain." Thus it is said. The third one: The previous five ways themselves are actually spoken in words. In that very text, it says, "The word of self-nature appearance, the word of self-appearance. The word of hidden meaning and intention, and the word of leading and guiding. The word of desire and condition, and the Vajra word. Signified by the word of self-awareness manifest." Thus it is said. These are also collected.

In short, among the two types of reasoning: the reasoning of the four bodies understood without scrutiny, and the reasoning of the manifested body understood with scrutiny, the latter includes: the reasoning of concordant words and meanings, and the reasoning of discordant words and meanings. The former includes: valid cognition (pramāṇa), scriptural authority, and the two aspects of sound-alike but different meanings. The former includes: four types of realization, three types of purity, four types of equality, and the reasoning of the great sovereign. The first is: the reasoning of the same cause and the nature of letters. Blessings and direct perception. Therefore, the reasoning of the same cause is: Samsara and Nirvana, both having the same cause in the spontaneously arising wisdom, because they appear as Samsara and Nirvana through the function of realization and non-realization. The nature of letters is: The sound of mind-essence, unborn from the beginning, is the unimpeded manifestation of the deity's body, speech, and mind, because the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: without), which cannot be expressed, expresses many letters without obstruction as the expresser and realizes it. Blessing is: The nature of unborn from the beginning and unimpeded manifestation, although they appear as separate aspects, arise from the power of blessings that are inseparable in essence, because the appearance and non-appearance of the ultimate truth spontaneously manifest as the mandala of the conventional body and wisdom. Direct perception is: The indivisibility of truth, which transcends the realm of mind, because it is realized in the self-illuminating, objectless self-awareness through direct self-cognition. The second is: The vessel, contents, and continuum are all realized as pure. Therefore, all phenomena encompassed by the three, vessel, contents, and continuum, are enlightened as the mandala of body and wisdom from the beginning, because they possess three purities. The third is: Two equalities and two additional equalities. Therefore, the knowable is enlightened from the beginning, because the four equalities realize that Samsara and Nirvana are non-dual. Among these two, the two equalities common to the Great Vehicle are: the relative truth with aspects, like a sprout not arising from itself, and the absolute truth without aspects, free from the four extremes of elaboration, are equal, because they are equal in the emptiness that prevents elaboration. The deceptive conventional truth, like the moon in water, and the true conventional truth, like the moon in the sky, are equal, because they are equal in being empty of truth. The uncommon, superior two equalities are:
