etc., bestow the four karmas as offerings. This is what it says. Secondly, there are four ways to examine according to the intentions of the respective texts: to make the fire god appear in a blazing form, and there to invite the deities and make offerings, and the two ways of generating the samaya-being and then inviting them. Some say that the fire god is placed in the southeast corner as a witness, and the samaya-being is generated in the center of the fire, and others say that it is generated in the belly of the fire god, but here it is the latter method. That is, whichever of the four karmas it is, the fire deity, along with the support and the supported, is generated, and then empowered, blessed, invoked, and absorbed. Offerings are made with inner and outer offerings such as Kunsang. The root mantra is appended with the tail of the karma mantra, and the filling and burning substances are offered. Praises are made and the desired purpose is requested. In that way, first the peaceful deity assembly is offered to, and then the place is transferred to the wrathful mandala and offered to again. Eleventh is the remaining karma, which is to gather the remaining tsok and the remaining burnt substances. At the end of whatever elaborate or concise remaining ritual is performed, one entrusts the activity and makes vows with "In the past, the great glorious Heruka," etc. Then, one performs the Tänma, completes the deficiencies, the wisdom being of the fire deity and the fire god departs, the samaya being is absorbed into oneself, the traces of the karma are made invisible, and dedication and auspicious words are spoken. When and when should these be done? At the time of the earth ritual, if the earth is bad, then the peaceful one is done. At the time of consecration, the increasing one is done. Before the empowerment, on the night of the student's preparation for the empowerment, if one dreams of bad omens, then the fierce burning is done. As it says in the Vajra Karma Sequence, "The two, earth and consecration, are the time of giving bliss." And it is also permissible to do it at other times when the occasion arises, such as offering and confession, as it says in the Thuk Thik, "The occasion is when there is empowerment and accomplishment, when there is offering, confession, life, and when the time arises." Because it says so. Secondly, there are three types of inner homa: the root is, "Samadhi remainder enjoyment inner," as it says. First, in samadhi, it also says, "From its root, the two are," therefore there are two types of homa: the homa of wisdom and the homa of samadhi. The first is, with the fire of wisdom that realizes selflessness, one burns the habitual tendencies of non-existence, and it is the giving of the wisdom that realizes the non-duality of samsara and nirvana. In the extensive explanation, it says, "It is the fire that burns the three realms."

Ah! The wisdom fire of the mind blazes! This is the first. The second is, burning the objects of experience, the substances of conceptual constructs, with the fire of Samadhi of the unconditioned Suchness. From that, it is said: "In the mandala of purified senses, gather all the objects of experience, and dissolve them into a state of pure light." This is the second. The second is, purifying the objects of experience with the fire of the deities' mudras blazing from the state of non-conceptualization. Continuing from the previous one, it says: "From the peaceful sphere, the mudra blazes." This is the third. The third is, transforming food and drink into nectar by infusing them with the accomplishments of the four activities. One's own body is the palace, the mouth is the hearth, the tongue is the fire deity. By offering with hand gestures to the fire deities who are naturally perfect and arranged by Samadhi, one bestows the fruit of perfecting the four activities and the two accumulations upon one's own mindstream, and burns offerings for the sake of completely purifying the objects of experience. From the root text, it says: "One's own body is the mandala of the elements. Habituate yourself to meditating on the palace of the elements, channels, and charnel grounds. Contemplate the faces of all enjoyers, and purify all the perfect and arranged deities with the clear mind of Samadhi." And so on. This is what is said. The third is the secret fire offering. From that, it says: "The four elements above and the three elements below are secret." Therefore, it is the fire offering of the four doors above and the three doors below. The first is: the wind wheel at the brow center is a crescent shape, which is increasing; the water wheel at the heart center is round, which is pacifying; the fire wheel at the navel is triangular, which is wrathful; the earth wheel below the navel is square, which is enriching. From these, the colors of each constantly abide as the hearth. The essence of wisdom is the fire deity. With the fire of the heart, the burning and dripping of the (ཧཾ,haṃ,ഹം,seed syllable) syllable from the crown of the head bestows the great bliss wisdom upon one's own mindstream, and the fire offering is performed to burn away conceptual constructs. From that, it says: "The three junctions, the heart, the navel are the four elements. In the mandala of colors and the four activities, the essence of wisdom is fully manifest. From the heart, the fire of wisdom blazes, and the fire of activity is stirred, drawing forth bliss. Surely entering into its face, with the joy of complete satisfaction, it pervades all ten directions. Purifying all signs and concepts, the wisdom that is difficult to realize becomes manifest." This is what is said. Alternatively, by stirring the wind wheel with the offerings of the right and left ring fingers, the fire of the navel is kindled. With this,
