Just as there are differences in the path of the cause, there must also be differences in the ultimate result. Because without the causes such as empowerment of tantra, it is impossible to obtain the ultimate result of tantra. Because the difference of cause necessarily produces the difference of result is pervasive. Since both Sutra and Tantra are vehicles of cause and effect, when the path of learning of Tantra is completed, it is certain that the path of learning of Sutra has been completed before that. Again, some say, because it arises from the cause and condition of familiarizing the path, will the result become conditioned? No, it is not. Because one's own mind itself has always dwelt in the mandala of body and wisdom. The path purifies attachment, and it becomes clear there. For example, just as the sun's disc appears when the clouds dissipate. It is also from this: The suchness of the realm of wisdom, becomes the seal of means. In this way, it will become characterized, because the result appears as the conventional body and wisdom. This is not established. Although it appears that way, its nature cannot be grasped in any way, so it does not become an existing characteristic. Moreover, it is not that it cannot accomplish things, because the two form bodies that appear to others are also self-appearing, so it accomplishes the purpose of activities like illusion. At that time, the nature itself does not change into another, because it is unconditioned and free from birth and death, and does not move from the Dharmakaya. It is also said that: The play of wisdom itself is also, the victorious ones appear as protectors, and the blessing shower is also the same, with the power of the glory of ability to act, illusion vajra is most supreme. Second, the characteristic is: the intention of all Buddhas of pure lineage, like pouring water into water, becomes one taste, or like a fire of piled wood, the lineages are not different either. Because it has not abandoned and is separated from all extremes such as one and many. Because the unspeakable meaning has become manifest, it is liberated from the object to be grasped. It is also from the Three Successive [Chapters]: Because the characteristic has a basis, it is not entirely one, nor is it different. And from the Root Tantra of Instructions: The characteristic is not one nor many. What is it then? The Buddhas are pervaded by the Dharmakaya, without moving from one, and different form bodies appear, therefore separated from one.
