And where do I revolve? Thus it is said. Those are also, from the aspect of the former giving rise to the latter, related to the cause; and because the five inner elements and consciousness, that is, the six constituents, are gathered and produced, it is called related to the condition. As it is said in the Sālu Ljangpa Sutra: The inner dependent arising arises because of two reasons. What are the two? They are related to the cause and related to the condition. Thus and so on, it is widely spoken. Third, if summarized, there are three: ignorance, craving, and grasping are the nature of affliction; action and existence are karma; the remaining seven are suffering. As Nāgārjuna said: The first, eighth, and ninth are afflictions, the second and tenth are karma, the remaining seven are suffering. Thus it is said. That is, from affliction comes karma, from that comes suffering, and from that also comes affliction. For those with bodies, it is actual, and for those without bodies, it revolves in the manner of imprints. Thus, both inner and outer dependent arising revolve in the manner of twelve branches. As it is said in the Three Stages: The twelve dependent arisings in various ways, both inner and outer, revolve. Thus it is said. Sixth, the fault of delusion is: As it is said in that very text: Separated from the noble path and experiencing suffering, the faults are spoken of as two types. Thus it is said. What is desired is the suffering of being separated from the noble path, as it is said in the Extensive Sutra: For all sentient beings, although the five wisdoms pervade everything, they are obscured by their own conceptual thoughts, and therefore they do not understand the meaning of the five wisdoms. Thus it is said. What is to be abandoned is the intense suffering that is extremely unbearable, and the fault of experiencing various kinds of feelings of suffering that appear to be temporary happiness. As it is said in this very text: One will experience discordant happiness and suffering. Thus it is said. Here some say: Suffering may be considered a fault, but how can happiness be a fault? In response, Lharje Nyeton said: Compared to the happiness of the Buddha, no matter how perfect the happiness of sentient beings may be, it does not go beyond the nature of suffering, just like a laborer getting paid. He said that. Moreover, it is definitely the cause of changing suffering. Seventh, the proof of delusion is: The agent of both samsara and nirvana is the unconditioned, continuous moment. As it is said in the Extensive Sutra: The unconditioned, continuous moment.

"There is nothing that it does not encompass." That's it. In particular, the agent of samsara is: the moment of the continuous stream of false conceptions. From that, it says, "The moment of the continuous stream of false conceptions, there is nothing that it has not done." Like that, and in this very text, it says, "The continuous stream of self, other, and conceptions." Like that, and in the Three Successive [Texts], it says, "The moment together with the continuous stream, is said to be the agent of actions." That's it. The eighth example is: samsara is like the turning of a water bucket, and proliferation is like fire in a haystack. In the Three Successive [Texts], it says, "Like the examples of a water bucket, a haystack, and fire, it constantly turns and proliferates." That's it. Thus, on top of the eight, from that, it says, "Destruction, origination, emptiness, and abiding, possessing the four—birth, old age, sickness, and death—its characteristic is without permanence." Thus, possessing the nature of arising and ceasing is explained as the characteristic of samsara. Third, transforming delusion into the nature of reality is: Thus, although it appears as delusion in those phenomena of samsara that are the basis of investigation, it does not move from its own nature, the nature of reality, just as a post appears as a person but does not move from being a post. Thus, in this very text, it says, "There is no falling away from its own nature." Like that, and "Other than false conception, there is nothing at all. Emptiness, selflessness, primordial wisdom, self-awareness, mind. Without object and subject, transform the power of mindfulness. Other than the wondrous body, speech, qualities, and pure realms, there is nothing else; that is just how it is." Like that, and in the Extensive [Text], it says, "From the perfection of the Three Jewels downwards, all the states of the lower realms, in reality, are without difference; nothing is to be abandoned." That's it. Here, what is the necessity of establishing the nature of samsara? There are two necessities: explaining the way of delusion, thereby knowing the faults of samsara and leading to the path of nirvana; and explaining its nature, thereby not abandoning this samsara, recognizing self-arisen wisdom, and knowing that samsara and nirvana are without difference. Of these, the first is: in the scripture, it says, "Without suffering, there is no renunciation." That's it. The second is: in the commentary on "There is nothing else; that is just how it is," the teacher Sunlight Lion says, "The so-called phenomena of samsara do not exist in some other place. The very phenomena of samsara are just like the mandala of nirvana." Like that, and in the Limb [Text], it says: Samsara and nirvana
