Although I merely establish it as appearing separately due to the power of complete imputation, it is not differentiated by the nature of phenomena, because the nature is one in the self-aware mind of enlightenment. However, in the realm of conceptual mind, there is no fault in establishing the basis of differentiation merely as knowable, even if it becomes the knowable of reality, because here the basis of differentiation itself is reality, and therefore knowing it is the root of the meaning of the tantra. As it is said in the Compendium of Meanings: All phenomena, internal and external, however many differences there may be, the mind of enlightenment, abiding as it is in its natural state, is the meaning of the tantra to be known. Because it is held in this way. Although ultimate reality is not the object of the mind, it is very important at the time of distinguishing the two truths. As it is said: In the appearance of mere knowables, the field of the two truths is also established. Thus, the basis of differentiation is spoken of as knowable. It is the same here. Secondly, from the basis of differentiation, which is merely knowable, the dharma of differentiation is definitely the three: ground, path, and fruit, because more is not needed and less is not included. Thirdly, relying on the fact that the ground exists in itself, it is necessary to endure the hardships of the path and enter, because it generates longing for the fruit, body and wisdom. For example, mustard seeds naturally contain butter, so those who want butter do not look at the labor of pounding and filtering and enter. Fourthly, is it established by valid cognition or by non-valid cognition that the gate of differentiation is definitely and inclusively in the three: ground, path, and fruit? It is established by valid cognition, otherwise it will be exhausted in the mind of superimposition and cannot be trusted. Then, will it be understood by the reasoning of speculation? No, because the meaning of reality to be understood is beyond the appearance of conventional knowledge. As it is said in the Condensed Meaning: Like the reason of example or valid cognition, or the wisdom of inference, it is not possible to realize, like a blind man measuring the height of the sky. And as it is said in the Explanation of the Thought: The object of self-awareness, each individually self-aware, is inexpressible and all conventional terms are cut off, the ultimate dharma, free from dispute, is beyond the realm of speculation. And as it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: Those children are speculators, like corpses, they observe. Thus. Then, by what is it known? In the Stages of the Path it is said: By summarizing the differences, it is all-pervasive.

Three. The reason why it is said that it is possible to measure the extremely hidden meaning without any omission is that there is nothing other than the Buddha's immaculate words of authority, the authoritative instructions composed by scholars, and the reasoning that arises in accordance with these two. It is known by the three pervasive authorities. As it is said in the Explanatory Tantra Vajra Mirror: "By whatever is measured by the authorities of scripture and reasoning, and instructions, one will come to understand the knowable." Also, as it is said in the Small Commentary: "This is the lamp of the mind, the secret explanation, established by scripture, instructions, and reasoning." Also, as it is said in the Lamp of Correct View by the teacher Pal Yang: "The great way of wisdom, the object of the mind, which is the nature of non-conceptual ultimate reality, is decided by scripture, instructions, and reasoning, and one truly believes in the nature of the Dharma." Therefore, scripture is what is said here: "In the mandala of perfect wisdom, through the union of hearing, thinking, and meditating, self-arisen, spontaneous, naturally accomplished." Instructions are: "To know the knowable of the ground, path, and fruit, to know the meaning of words that are in accordance with the meaning, it is summarized as the meaning of the three tantras." Reasoning is: From the basis of classification, it is determined that the doors of classification are the ground, path, and fruit. If these are not complete, then the fruit of enlightenment, which perfects the two benefits, will not arise. Because there is no knowable Dharma that is not included in it. First, it is established that it is impossible for the fruit to arise from the separation of these three. For example, even if there is a seed, if there is no field and human effort, or if there are the latter two but no seed, there will be no harvest. Secondly, it is established that there is no other Dharma that is not included in it. If someone says that the appearance of delusion is not included, then there is no fault, because that is the basis of investigation, so it is included in the ground. Because the ground is determined to be of two types: the ground of essence and the ground of investigation. As it is said in the Three Stages: "The ground of essence and the ground of investigation." Secondly, there are three types: the essence of the ground, the path, and the fruit. The first is also divided into the general aspect of the ground, the reality of the ground, and the essence of the basis of investigation. The first is self-awareness, the mind of enlightenment, as it is said in the Three Stages: "All essences are mind itself, like the example of gold, there is no duality." The second is the unceasing self-power without modification or pollution.
