Therefore, results arise from causes and conditions. As it says, the naturally pure essence of reality is the lineage of the cause, manifesting nature is the lineage of means, and manifesting nature is the lineage of the result. It is related to the actions and nature of knowledge acquisition being the same, because the necessities of the three, ground, path, and result, are not incomplete. As stated in 'Fierce Lightning': 'Association and absence of incompleteness, being perfectly complete, is called lineage.' And as stated in 'Divination Arrow': 'Because it is associated in everything and complete in everything.' Secondly, as stated in 'Heart Drop': 'From the essence of the three appearances of nature, Sugata, and those to be tamed, the distinctions of lineage are established. One also has the nature of three, but it transforms into three due to the appearance of delusion. Therefore, in the four appearances, it is clearly explained in all scriptures and reasoning.' Therefore, the ground is the appearance of nature, the path is the appearance of those to be tamed, and the result is the appearance of Sugata. The ground is the source of all phenomena. Nature is, as stated in 'Fundamental Wisdom of the Middle Way': 'Nature is uncreated and does not depend on others.' Therefore, it is not made by wisdom and reasoning, but is the self-appearance of the unceasing power of self-awareness, the mind of enlightenment. Those to be tamed are those who have generated or are capable of generating the five common and supreme minds. The path is the vehicle, which appears differently according to the stages of the minds of those to be tamed. Sugata is the maturation of qualities without separation or attainment, and ripening there is the result, self-appearing in the mandala of body and wisdom. These three, in essence, are one in mind, but appearing separately, are defiled by the appearance of delusion. Due to clinging to duality in the non-dual object and subject, false discrimination arises. Due to grasping what is not that as that, delusion arises, appearing in the mind of karma and false discrimination. Thus, among the four appearances, the latter is the impurity to be purified, because there is no connection or necessity, so it cannot be established as lineage, therefore the distinctions of lineage are only three. Thirdly, as stated in 'Explanation of the Differences of Illusion': 'With the objects of the three valid cognitions, on the aggregates of the three yogas, establish the branches of lineage and appearance, that itself is definitely the supreme of the crest.' Therefore, all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, unmixed and completely perfect, are the yoga of action-ground, action is: cause (‹བ› lineage), the ground is reality, for that meaning

The Dharma is flawlessly and primordially abiding. Moreover, it is said in the Condensed Meaning of the Sutra: "Whatever differences there are, internal and external, all Dharmas are Bodhicitta, as they are, in their own nature, primordially abiding. It is the meaning of the Tantra that should be known." Thus it is said. Engaging in the inseparability of view and samadhi is the yoga of conditions, which is to say, the mind abides in the state of activity that becomes the condition for attainment of knowledge. Ripening into fruition is the completion of actions, and by this, one gains mastery in manifesting the inseparability of one's own and others' benefit, which is the yoga of the fruition of non-action. Now, are the three yogas taught here and the statement in the Condensed Meaning of the Sutra: "Action is the basis, activity is the condition, non-action is the yoga of fruition," are these two of the same or different intent? Yungton Chenpo said: Although the method of considering the consistency of the various stages of the path is the same, the latter two yogas appear to be different from this view, because it says: "That vehicle which leads and introduces practice through effort is the action-condition." Thus, it is said that the three vehicles that lead to arising are the yoga of action-condition, and elsewhere it says: "There is no expectation of fruit, the object to be accomplished is the path itself, this great skillful means vehicle is non-action. That is also internal and external." Thus, it is said that the three vehicles of external asceticism and mantra, and the three vehicles of internal empowerment means are the yoga of non-action fruition. So, should it be explained here in accordance with that? It is not so, because for the latter yoga, The Commentary on the Eye says: "The ultimate yoga, because it has already arisen in the continuum of non-action, is immutable, it is the lineage of fruition." Thus it is said. Also, here, by the implication of the word "lineage," it can also be transformed into three lineages, that is, that which does not change its essence into another and is not interrupted is the lineage of the mother; because the five minds arise, it arises in the continuum of Dharmata, and that which does not abandon the aspects that are contrary to it is the lineage of effort; because it has already arisen in the continuum, there is no effort of the path, it is the lineage of fruition, thus it is explained as three. The fourth is, in the Three Successive [Texts], it says: "The Dharma with basis, path, and fruition." Therefore, that which should be realized is the continuum of the basis; that by which one realizes and traverses is the continuum of the path; that in which one ultimately completes is the continuum of the fruition, that is, the three of basis, path, and fruition.
