Regarding the Abhidhamma Pitaka, there are two types, inner and outer, of which Mantra is considered the inner Abhidhamma. As it is said in the Dzogchen Dung-yig-chen, "Abhidhamma comes from the precious Pitaka." Furthermore, Indian teachers such as Shantipa and Tibetan lamas such as Nar-ton Sengge Wo, etc., consider it to be the Sutra Pitaka because it concisely explains the profound meaning. It is also said in the commentary on the One Hundred and Fifty Verses on Prajnaparamita, "The eighteen Tantra divisions are the eighteen great Sutras." Some scholars say that Secret Mantra is the Sutra Pitaka, as it is said in the Vajravidarana, "If one listens to this Sutra." And in the Guhyasamayasadhana Tantra, it is said, "This Sutra is well-spoken." That is why they say so. Also, the Chinese teacher Aryadeva, and Tibetan scholars such as Rog Deshek Chenpo and Kunkhyen Chokyi Gyalpo, etc., consider the Vidyadhara Pitaka as a separate Pitaka, generally counted as the fourth. So, how should it be established here? My omniscient root guru said that it is best to establish it as the fourth Pitaka. This is indeed the case, as it is said in the Kunjed Gyalpo, "The fourth Pitaka is twenty-one thousand verses." And in the Pungzang Kyi Zhuspa, "Three hundred million and five hundred thousand, the Victorious Ones spoke of as the Vidyadhara Pitaka." Therefore, because the Sutras say that the fourth Pitaka or the Vidyadhara Pitaka is an independent Pitaka, and also in the Guna Vyuhasutra, it is said, "The three outer Pitakas are antidotes to desire, hatred, and ignorance respectively. The unsurpassed and equal Secret Mantra is the antidote to all afflictions." In this way, all afflictions can be summarized into the three poisons, and the antidotes to these three poisons are also the three trainings. Therefore, here it is necessary to teach the three trainings as the antidote to all mixed and accumulated three poisons. Therefore, considering that the parts that teach the training of higher morality are included in the Vinaya Pitaka, etc., it is considered that all three Pitakas are included, and it is unreasonable to establish it as the fourth Pitaka. Why is that? Is it like saying to mud, "This is not mud, but earth and water"? It should be understood in this way, that is, the Pitaka of the cause.
