From the chapter of "The Earth's Compassionate Suspension Cord": With various approaches of compassion, he tames according to what is appropriate. To the groups of outsiders, he speaks by showing what appears to them. It is said. Although that is so, the view of annihilationism, which is stubbornly dense, is an extremely terrible wrong view. How could generating such a view be considered the skillful means of the Victorious Ones? That is indeed reasonable, because even the stubbornly dense one accepts many reasons. When encountering an opponent who can see the scriptures or who can present a pure consequentialist argument, first doubt arises, and then, upon seeing the pure proof of the opposite side, a correct valid cognition will arise. Therefore, compared to a fool who has never entered a philosophical system, one is closer to generating a correct view. Also, what is explained as emanating from the vehicle of gods and humans? The reason for mentioning that the basis of individuals who travel by the two vehicles of gods and humans exists both internally and externally is because, in terms of outsiders, the hero says: Those beings who do not turn to your teachings, blinded by ignorance, even if they go to the peak of existence, can only prove that suffering will still arise. In terms of insiders, although they take refuge by means of having faith in performing actions towards the Three Jewels, they remain on the worldly path without a mind seeking liberation. As the Uttaratantra says: By making the minds of those who have faith in the three actions, the three refuges are established. Secondly, the transcendent vehicle: As the Ratnavali says: If one practices human dharma well, the path to the realm of the gods is not far. If one ascends the ladder of gods and humans, liberation is at hand. Thus, from ascending the ladder of higher realms, it is called the vehicle of definite goodness or liberation, which is the place to be traveled to. The explanation of this is divided into: the way of surpassing outsiders, explaining the individual differences in detail, and refuting disputes about the order of views of the nine vehicles. The first is: by taking the Three Jewels as refuge, accepting the view as the four seals of the Dharma, or belonging to that category, and training in the three correct trainings, the result can transcend the peak of existence, therefore it is superior, because these are not present in the path of outsiders. Among these, taking refuge is:

The fundamental basis is indispensable, because it is the cause of discipline and the support for the thought of Nirvana. Without taking refuge, discipline does not arise, and without being bound by discipline, there is no right path. As the "Seventy Verses on Refuge" says: "Taking refuge in the Three Jewels makes one a layperson; that is the root of the eight precepts." It also says: "Discipline is present in all, but absent in those who have not taken refuge." The four seals are: all conditioned things are impermanent, all contaminated things are suffering, all phenomena are without self, and Nirvana is peace. Studying the three trainings, namely, learning the three higher trainings of discipline, mind, and wisdom through the three doors of hearing, thinking, and meditation, is virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end. As the "Radiant Light Sutra" says: "The three trainings are well shown, corresponding to the three seals, virtuous in the beginning, middle, and end, the wise understand it as the Buddha's word." That which enables the fruit to transcend the peak of existence is, as the hero says: "Those who follow your teachings, even if they have not attained the actual practice of meditation, can stop the cycle of existence like the root of the demon's eye."

Therefore, one enters through the gate of the four noble truths. As stated in the 'Self-Commentary': 'The gate of entry is the four noble truths, the common entry for all Shravakas.' That is, the truth of suffering is like a disease, the origin is like the cause of that disease, the cessation is like the happiness of being liberated from the disease, and the path is like the medicine that is the antidote to the disease. Therefore, one should know suffering, abandon the origin, attain cessation, and cultivate the path, entering through the gate of abandoning and adopting cause and effect, focusing on the four noble truths. Second is the view: The coarse appearance of the object to be grasped is destructible and can be destroyed by antidotes and wisdom, and the stream of the grasping mind, the phenomena of the three times, can be destroyed. Therefore, although one realizes that the coarse grasping and grasped are merely appearances in conventional truth and have no inherent existence, thus realizing the absence of a self of a person, the basis for composing the coarse appearance of the object to be grasped—the subtle particles—
