Complete ignorance of not understanding the law of cause and effect. Definition: Because one does not practice or adopt or reject the Dharma of dependent origination and cause and effect, whether it exists or not, it is called "vulgar." As stated in the Dice Sutra: "Not understanding anything is worldly vulgarity." There are two types: inferior lineage and uncertain lineage. The first is: the inferior mind that lacks the intention to attain qualities. The second has two types, good and bad, which will be explained below. The second type of non-understanding that arises incidentally is: nihilism. There are also three aspects to this: The essence is: having a mind that does not understand whether there are past and future lives, and only seeks a little happiness in this life. Definition: Abandoning the future life, and relying on worldly secrets such as divination and astrology to achieve power, wealth, and strength in this life, it is called "nihilism." There are two types: those with severed lineage and those with consciousness. The first has two types: severance by nature and severance by conditions. The first is: because it holds the tenets of the Mahayana, it is not desirable, and will be explained in detail below. There are four types of those with consciousness, as stated in the Great Sutra: "The four with consciousness are attachment, distraction, fear, and faith, appearing as fields for planting seeds." These are, in order: being unable to separate from attachment and desire for the object of desire; being distracted by worldly affairs; achieving power and wealth by colluding with sin; and abandoning the ten non-virtues and having the lineage of aspiring to liberation. The second, wrong perception, has two aspects: meaning and classification. The first is: any person with a connection whose mind is transformed by a wrong philosophical view. The second has: nihilistic extremists and eternalistic heretics. The first is: because the nature of phenomena is not established in any entity, it takes delusion as its basis and believes that there are no past and future lives or cause and effect, believing that all phenomena in one lifetime arise suddenly without cause and have an end. The second is: because the nature of phenomena is unchanging, it takes delusion as its basis and believes that all phenomena have a self, believing that the "permanent, singular, independent self" is the enjoyer and agent of the continuum of the five aggregates, existing as a truly real entity. There are also four classifications: Samkhya, Vaisheshika, Lokayata, and naked ascetics. The views of these four are

When the view of self and annihilation are added, they are called the five Tirthika schools. Here, "Murtukpa" can be used as a general name for outsiders if it is not distinguished in pronunciation from "Mustikpa." As it says in the Sutra Requested by Light Protector: "Light Protector, my teachings cannot be destroyed by the ninety-six Murtuks, but they will be destroyed by my monks who are like me." This was said. The four views of non-understanding and wrong understanding arise only from ignorance, so they are worldly views. As it says in the Garland of Views: "In the world, the inverted views of sentient beings can be summarized into four types: the ordinary, the nihilist, the Murtuk, and the Tirthika." Up to "These are the views of ignorance." This was said. The two types of non-understanding are not sectarian views, but they are discussed together in order to summarize the states of mind. The two types of wrong understanding are views that have been transformed by sectarianism, but because the nature of reality is free from extremes, they cling to the extremes of exaggeration and denigration, so they are not methods for liberation from samsara. Not only is the Murtukpa the worst of the sectarian debaters, but the Tirthikas are also bound by the root of samsara, self-grasping, because they cling to a self. As it says in the Commentary on Valid Cognition: "As long as there is strong attachment to self, one will continue to wander in samsara." Therefore, the Stages of the Path says: "Those whose minds cling to permanence or annihilation are said to have strayed from the very essence of meaning." Because it was said this way, the tenets of the path and fruit, etc., are not written here. Here, some say: "It is very unreasonable to explain the tenets of outsiders, etc., when explaining the divisions of the Buddha's teachings." There is no fault. If we consider it from the perspective of the Tirthika Svatantrika, it is necessary to recognize the places of downfall and what should be abandoned on the path, so that the transcendent vehicle does not deviate from its own path. As it says in the Heruka Galpo: "If you thoroughly understand the Tirthika vehicle, I will explain it to you in order to abandon improper conduct." Also, if we consider it from the perspective of the emanation body, not only does it have the previous necessity, but these are also said to be the activities of the Buddha who tames beings according to their needs. In the Bliss Gathering composed by Bodhisattva Vajra Dharma,
