Thus, there are the retinues of the prince bodhisattvas and the retinues of the subjugating wrathful ones. The first has two names, common and specific. The first name refers to the collections of conceptual thoughts, such as eye consciousness, which are inherently the mind of the nature of reality, bodhicitta. The fruit of manifesting as it is, is the great bodhi. Thus, although appearing as cause and effect, in reality, the deity and conceptual thought are inseparable, therefore it is vajra. In the "Small Commentary," it says: Whatever the arrangement of the retinue, it is known to be the elements and sources. Consciousness, objects, and faculties, as well as time and non-perversion, are the nature of great bodhi, the spontaneously accomplished mandala. So it says. The name of the mother, "Consort," is as before. The distinction is that the four objects generate the four consciousnesses, and the four times separate to generate the four faculties. The second is the father and mother of the inner mind. Mentioning "seeing" and so on refers to the four consciousnesses of eye, ear, nose, and tongue. Because relying on the eye faculty, the eye consciousness can see objects, forms, and so on. These are, in order, Kshitigarbha, Vajrapani, Akashagarbha, and Avalokiteshvara. These are known as the mind bodhisattvas. As this very text says: (Tibetan) "Ka" is the best of the mind of the eye. (Literal Chinese meaning) and so on. The Spar Khab says: The four consciousnesses are mind because they are only awareness. Mentioning "to be seen" and so on refers to the four objects of form, sound, smell, and taste. Because eye consciousness and so on are the objects to be seen and so on. These are also sequentially paired with Lasyama, Girtima, Malema, and Nirtima. These are known as the body bodhisattva mothers, because the four objects are the support for the knowing consciousness. (Tibetan) "Ca" is the best of the body of the eye. (Literal Chinese meaning) and so on. The Vajra says: The objects aimed at by the four consciousnesses, to be seen and so on, are the objects aimed at, therefore they are the best of the body. Here, some say that if one only pairs according to the order of conceptual thought, the object and the subject will not be confused. But when the father and mother deities unite, the object of the ear becomes taste, and the object of the tongue becomes sound, so the pairing is wrong. Why? Because the mother of Avalokiteshvara is Girtima, and the mother of Vajrapani is Nirtima. If one says so, if one considers the aspect of object and subject, then

如《怖畏电光》中说:过去乃春之时,即dhūpe ma(藏文,梵文天城体,dhūpe ma,燃香母)。现在乃夏之时,即puṣpe ma(藏文,梵文天城体,puṣpe ma,鲜花母)。未来乃秋之时,即ā loke(藏文,梵文天城体,ā loke,明灯)。未定乃冬之时,即gandhe(藏文,梵文天城体,gandhe,香水)。

Although it is true, here it is in terms of lineage, so there is no contradiction. As the "Extensive Commentary of Sunlight Lion" says: "In this tantra, only lineage is mainly emphasized. Although the goddess of sound to be listened to is the object of the ear, at the time of lineage, it is the lineage of speech, so it should be known as the mother of the lord of the world." etc. The outer mind father and mother are: the four consciousnesses see the four realms as the dominant condition, and the four faculties act, so they are called seers, etc. Among them, the four faculties of eye, ear, nose, and tongue are, in order, Maitreya, Eliminating Obscurations, Samantabhadra, and Manjushri. These are also known as speech bodhisattvas, because the faculties mediate between the inner and outer objects and consciousness. Therefore, it is said: "Pani is the supreme of the speech of the eye." The mother is the goddess of the four times, namely the past, the present, the future (i.e., not yet arrived), and the uncertain future (i.e., not certain to come), in order: Incense Mother, Flower Mother, Lamp Mother, and Perfume Water Mother. As it says in "Frightening Lightning": "The past is the time of spring, that is, dhūpe ma (धूपे मा, Incense Mother). The present is the time of summer, that is, puṣpe ma (पुष्पे मा, Flower Mother). The future is the time of autumn, that is, ā loke (आलोके, Lamp). The uncertain is the time of winter, that is, gandhe (गन्धे, Perfume)." So it is said. At this time, some say that mentioning the four times here is a reversal of time, because only three times are mentioned in other pitakas. This is just a lament to clearly proclaim one's own nature. As it says in the "Treasury": the four of formation, abiding, destruction, and emptiness, and the four times such as the complete time. And as it says in the "Heap of Jewels": "Light Increase, the suchness of mind and dharma does not come from anywhere, does not go anywhere, and does not abide anywhere, so it is uncertain, it is an inconceivable time." Thus, speaking of three times and an inconceivable time, that is, four times, etc., the fault of reversing time cannot be avoided. It can also be harmed by reason. You think there are only three times, we think that thinking there must be three times is also unreasonable, because if it is time, then it must be determined that there are only two, namely the present and the non-present. How can you prevent it if you say that? They say, from the non-present there is the past and
