Merely recognizing the existence of past and future lives and the law of karma, yet abandoning the future and relying on worldly knowledge such as power, wealth, and strength in this life, as well as crafts and divination, to accomplish things, is called a 'far-seer.' Here, ignorance is the actual non-realization, and the 'far-seer' is the non-realization that arises as a consequence. Although these two are not views that change the mind through philosophical tenets, they are classified together for the purpose of categorizing states of mind. Wrong views are: nihilistic annihilationism and eternalistic extremism. The former, because the nature of phenomena is not established in any way, takes delusion as its basis and views that there are no past or future lives and no law of cause and effect, asserting that all phenomena of one life arise suddenly without cause and are finite, thus being an extreme of past and future. The latter, because the nature of phenomena is unchanging, takes delusion as its basis and believes in a permanent, singular, and independent self, lord, or Ishvara. These are divided into: Samkhya, Vaisheshika, Mimamsa, and Nirgrantha, and adding nihilistic annihilationism, they are known as the five Tirthikas. They all agree in viewing a self, with the Tirthikas believing the self to be eternal, while the annihilationists believe the self exists but will be annihilated. For this reason, none of these are methods for liberation from samsara, because the root of samsara is bound by clinging to a self. As it is said in the Pramanavarttika: 'As long as there is attachment to a self, one will continue to wander in samsara.' Secondly, views that transcend the world are divided into the two vehicles of cause and effect. First, within the causal vehicle, those who realize only a portion of the gate of liberation are the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. The former realize the absence of self of persons, and the latter, in addition to that, realize the absence of inherent existence of phenomena, i.e., that which is grasped does not exist inherently, thus realizing half and half, but because they have not realized the absence of inherent existence of the grasper. Although they practice the gate of inconceivable liberation, because they have not realized the meaning of the Vajrayana, those who have not realized the truth are the Cittamatrins and Madhyamikas. The Cittamatrins believe that in ultimate reality, there is no duality of grasper and grasped, and the Madhyamikas believe that in ultimate reality, it is free from elaboration, thus realizing the two absences of self, but because they have not seen the meaning of all phenomena being primordially pure and existing as the great equality. Secondly, the resultant vehicle is divided into outer and inner.

Karma. Firstly, the outer Tantras that can be tamed, the main practice of taming the mindstream through the actions of the three doors is Kriya and Upaya; achieving fruition through the mind's intention, with Samadhi as the main focus, is Yoga. Secondly, the inner Tantras of skillful means, the outer Tantras and below have not become a common ground, therefore the secret is the Father Tantra Generation Stage Mahayoga, and the Mother Tantra Completion Stage Anuyoga. All Dharmas are inherently pure by nature, the meaning of abiding in self-arisen wisdom, has not become the realm of Anuyoga and below, therefore the secret is the Non-Dual Tantra Atiyoga, Mahayoga is further divided into three, namely Generation Stage, Completion Stage, and Great Perfection. Thus, the meanings of Atiyoga and below, are the differences between what is to be expressed and what expresses it. Secondly: the two lines of letters and sounds, etc., what kind of terminology is used to represent what is to be expressed? Letters start with the letter A, expressed by the terminology that clarifies the sound of the vowel and the base letter, the collection of vowel and consonant letters only shows the nature of things, and names arise from this; based on the gathering of many names, the words that clearly show the differences of things; the collection of words gathers and accomplishes the nature of each scripture; thus the scriptures can fully express their respective meanings and abide. Thirdly: the two lines from within, in general, the meanings that each scripture's words express reside within them; in particular, the Tantra of the nature of what is to be expressed, although residing in the hearts of all sentient beings, is hidden because it is difficult to realize; in the letter Tantra of the means of expression, the secret and profound Dharmas are hidden so that those without fortune cannot understand; thus, the two meanings of hiding, the one who can reveal them is the Vajra Master who accurately shows the meaning of the Tantra, residing in his heart, and therefore can reveal them; how to reveal them? By introducing the Tantra of self-abiding nature, and by combining the confusion with the oral instructions of explaining the letter Tantra, and revealing what is hidden. Secondly, the means of experiencing, there are two ways of explaining one scripture: explaining from the perspective of the path of wisdom liberation, and explaining from the perspective of the path of skillful means instructions. Firstly, there are also two: explaining as if it were a gradual path of liberation, and explaining as if it were a sudden path of liberation. Firstly, there is also.
