Having arranged the four external consorts with (Tibetan, Devanagari script, Roman transliteration, literal Chinese meaning). Visualize the form of whichever deity-consort, hiding three syllables within. From the tips of the fingers of one's own lineage, the respective seed syllables fully manifest. Visualize Manjushri's utpala, Maitreya's naga tree, and so forth, with their hearts and hand emblems blazing with light. Likewise, the jewel sprout of Earth Essence, the blazing sword of Space Essence, the white lotus of Avalokiteshvara, the blazing vajra of Vajrapani, the Dharma wheel of Eliminating Obscurations, the precious rice stalk of Samantabhadra—these are the eight male deities. And their consorts: the alluring Mirror Maiden with her beautiful form, the Garland Maiden with her precious garland, the Songstress with her lute, the Dancer Maiden with her supreme emblem of the fan. Likewise, the Flower Maiden with her flower garland, the Incense Maiden holding her incense burner, the Light Maiden with her butter lamp, the Perfume Maiden with her scented ointment—visualize them all blazing with light. Within the category of "and so forth," the left side of the eight bodhisattvas, with the moon concealing the syllable, hold the bell, ringing it, and their left thighs are arranged in a way that relies on the Dharma. In that manner, also contemplate the heads of the male deities slightly approaching the consorts. The right hands of the eight consorts, not bound by the five syllables of the sun, embrace the right thighs of the male deities, relying on action, and their heads are arranged in a way that slightly bows to the male deities. At the end of the contemplation, with their respective mantras, they are released by mutually increasing method and wisdom. In short, like the case of the great mudra and so forth above, the seven-fold mudra, and the five families, they are intertwined in the nature of reality, the sphere of dharmadhatu, where method and wisdom are non-dual. Third, the mudras of the gatekeeper male and female deities: the four gates and so forth have seven parts. The mudras of the wrathful male and female deities residing at the four gates are as before: on each of the four fingers of the right hand, place one ཧཱུཾ, and on the fingers of the left hand, arrange ཛཿཧཱུཾ་བཾ་ཧོཿ. Visualize them as the forms of the respective deities, and from the fists, extend the fingers of one's own lineage. From the respective seed syllables, Yama's ནྲྀ with its head raised, and the five-pronged vajra of Great Power, are held in a suppressing manner. Hayagriva's skull staff, entwined with a great serpent, is held in a suppressing manner. The swirling nectar and crossed vajra, the emblems of karma, are held in a suppressing manner. And in the four consorts, contemplate them as skull-blood. Thus, the four gates

Those who abide there also have the father's left hands in threatening mudras, and the mother's right hands hold, in order, iron hooks, lassos, sphota (iron fetters), and bells that produce joy with the sound "Ho!" (ཧོཿ, Devanagari: होः, Romanized Sanskrit: hoḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: Roar), bowing to each other and dancing, the father and mother embracing, as just mentioned above. Fourth, the mudras of the Six Conquerors: The Six Conquerors, etc., three verses. The mudras of the Six Conquerors are diverse in order to subdue those who are not certain to be tamed. However, if the categories are briefly summarized, they are included in six mudras. The Vajra says: "Lute, armor, oblique frame, book, fire, and water should be known." Therefore, it is thought that from the seed syllables Krim (ཀྲཱིཾ, Devanagari: कृं, Romanized Sanskrit: krīṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Make) Trum (ཏྲུཾ, Devanagari: त्रुं, Romanized Sanskrit: truṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Pierce), etc., those hand symbols arise and are held in the heart. Here, one might wonder, is there no mudra for pleasing the Six Conquerors with the union of skillful means and wisdom? Although there is no consort with specific signs, here, since there is no separation from the consort of the Dharmadhatu without signs, they are pleased. Fifth, the mudra of Samantabhadra in union: Samantabhadra, etc., five verses. The actor, Samantabhadra, with his right hand placed above in meditative equipoise, radiates the light of the five wisdoms. The mother, the Karma Mother, transforms from this, with her left hand placed above, making the meditative equipoise. As for the posture, the father is in the complete vajra posture, and the mother is seated in the lotus posture. Furthermore, the distinctions of the mother's mudra are not fixed as one, but appear in various ways because the nature of reality is unobstructed in any way. And how is that? The Tathagata father as Samantabhadra, is it the meditative equipoise that has not changed from activity? Or is it the vajra palms joined at the heart? Also, in some lineages, the last three verses are meant to collect the general categories of mudras. Depending on the needs of those to be tamed, when practicing the individual families, those mudras are uncertain, such as showing the form of the hand symbol of that family, or if one prefers to abbreviate because one cannot make the mudras of each deity individually, then only the individual mudras of the five families of the Tathagatas or the common samaya mudra as previously mentioned are made, and if one cannot do that either, then it is considered acceptable to only make the vajra palms joined. Third, the mudra of view: Mahamudra, etc., one verse. All conceptual aggregates are Mahamudra, the deity's body inseparable from appearance and emptiness is illusion.
