From the clouds that transform into various forms, arise the seed syllables of the deities, and the images of scriptures, etc., manifesting everything as the play of compassion, they are the messengers who accomplish the activities of the incarnate body and demonstrate the Dharma. Second, to represent the three vajras of these, it is explained as follows: "In the ten directions and four times," etc., one verse. All the Buddhas who go and abide for the benefit of beings in the ten directions and four times, also gather in the forty-two deities of the mandala of the self-nature of wisdom and courage, in a pervasive way, each of which possesses the three pervasives—body, speech, and mind. Therefore, the forty-two deities of the mandala, together with the three pervasives, gather into the nature of forty-five deities, and these are also the three pervasives of the letters head, line, and dot (མགོ་ཤད་ཏིག་), and the thirty-four clear points from ka to ཀྵ, and the eight vowels between i and au, totaling forty-two pervasive letters. In short, the miraculous transformations of A (ཨ) gather and complete in the forty-five letters, therefore, representing the root of all manifestations of the Dharmakaya's play and the Rupakaya's mandala is the letters. Second, the nature of the letters is: "The mind's," etc., two lines. The mind's own nature, luminosity itself, appears as letters, and apart from that, there is not even a little bit of letter that exists as a real thing. As it is said in the Sutra: "Subhuti, letters are unborn in the ultimate sense, they are the nature of A (ཨ). What is the nature of A (ཨ)? That is the nature of mind, which is truly assembled from all that is and is not." Thus it is said. Third, the function is: "The aimless itself," etc., one verse. The letters that are aimless towards anything, also naturally appear as various playful letters, the great wheel of the body, speech, and mind mandala is uninterrupted. Therefore, the spontaneously accomplished body, speech, and mind from the beginning is a wonderful place, it is amazing and appears as a great miraculous accomplishment, which can completely attract and merge the self-aware realization. Fourth, the definition is: "The sphere," etc., two lines. In the sphere of objective phenomena, the sphere of subjective, non-conceptual wisdom effortlessly writes, therefore, the cloud of letters that is spontaneously accomplished from the beginning is unchangeable, and all the forms and expressions are

现在因为具有显现的能力,所以文字这个名称只是一个术语而已。如果从文字的梵语词汇Akshara(梵文天城体:अक्षर,梵文罗马拟音:akṣara,汉语字面意思:不坏)的声音来理解,就是不改变的意思。Byañjana(梵文天城体:व्यञ्जन,梵文罗马拟音:vyañjana,汉语字面意思:显现)是显现的意思。Varṇa(梵文天城体:वर्ण,梵文罗马拟音:varṇa,汉语字面意思:颜色)是具有能力的意思。

Now, because it possesses the power of manifestation, the name "letter" is merely a term. If understood from the sound of the Sanskrit word for letter, Akshara (Devanagari: अक्षर, Romanized: akṣara, literal meaning: imperishable), it means unchanging. Byañjana (Devanagari: व्यञ्जन, Romanized: vyañjana, literal meaning: manifestation) means manifestation. Varṇa (Devanagari: वर्ण, Romanized: varṇa, literal meaning: color) means possessing ability. Second, explaining the individual meanings is divided into two: explaining the meaning of the three universals and the forty-two that are universalized. The first is: "Head" etc., three lines. The letter "head" that symbolizes is Bherkari (transliteration), the meaning symbolized is the non-dual wisdom mind vajra of inseparable union. The function is to guide all letters and become the door of entry, so it is like a path. The Sutra Requested by Glorious Gift says: "The head is the initial symbol, whatever is clear in form at the beginning, that is the head of the letter, Bherkari is called head." The letter "dot" is the point, the meaning is the inexpressible nature of wisdom, speech vajra. The function is to gather the letters, connect them with vowels, form the names of individual things, and speak without confusion. The Yoga Garland says: "Because of gathering, the point is the dot, gathering the scattered, it is spoken as a name." Here, some say that the Indian manuscript has no dot, so it is the Tibetan "Ma," this is because they have not seen what is said in the Valiant Praise: "The curves, extensions, head ornaments, dots, etc. are not damaged." The letter "vertical line" is the nature of the body vajra that tames with the method of great compassion. The function is to combine phrases and make paragraphs. The General Sutra says: "The letter that symbolizes the break is called 'name stick' in Ladakh." The second is divided into seven, the first is the letters of the Good Woman and the Five Buddha Families, father and mother. "A" is non-arising, etc., three lines. The letter "A" is the unborn Dharmadhatu of all dharmas, the female Samantabhadri. The Intermediate Mother Tantra says: "The meaning of 'A' is unborn from the beginning, so it is the door of all dharmas." The Later Magical Illusion says: "A is emptiness, empty from the beginning, in emptiness there is no emptiness, it is the basis or cause of all letters, because it is so, it is placed at the beginning." The letter Ṭha (transliteration) is the illusory consciousness, the illusory vajra that purifies into the Dharmadhatu wisdom seal.
