Having abandoned through seeing with the superior seeing of meditating on the sixteen aspects, and having gradually trained with the sixteen wisdoms, after obtaining the path of seeing, with the path of meditation, approximately the first four or less of the nine afflictions of the desire realm, and between the sixth and eighth, and in the order of abandoning the ninth, the temporary fruits are obtained: Stream-enterer, Once-returner. Having traversed the three of Non-returner, ultimately, having abandoned all the afflictions of the three realms, the fruit of the Arhat itself is manifested. As it is said in the Extensive [Commentary]: "Understanding the meaning of the four truths, those who thoroughly abandon, the sixteen wisdoms, having trained in parts, utterly pacified, Stream-enterer and so forth, having trained in order, the enemies of afflictions, go to the land of peace." Thus it is. From the term Pratyekabuddha (藏文:པྲ་ཏྱེ་ཀ་བུདྡྷའི་,梵文天城体:प्रत्येकबुद्ध,梵文罗马拟音:pratyekabuddha,汉语字面意思:独觉佛), not relying on a teacher, one's own enlightenment is realized by oneself, therefore it is called Solitary Conqueror. The vehicle of that very one is: although realizing that the self of the person and the apprehended are without inherent existence, the moment of consciousness is seen as ultimate truth, and having understood samsara and nirvana as dependent arising, cause and effect, the twelve links of dependent arising are meditated on in forward and reverse order, thereby accomplishing the result. Showing the Dharma with the miraculous powers of a soundless body, and passing into nirvana in the place of supreme wish-fulfilling bliss. As it is said in the Extensive [Commentary]: "Knowing the manner of inner and outer dependent arising as illusion and mirage, unimpededly entering into the form of objects. The virtuous friend, without learning, realizes with his own intelligence, travels to the place of enlightenment, supreme wish-fulfilling bliss." Thus it is. From the term Bodhisattva (藏文:བོ་དྷི་སཏྭའི་,梵文天城体:बोधिसत्त्व,梵文罗马拟音:bodhisattva,汉语字面意思:菩萨), having great mental strength in accomplishing unsurpassed enlightenment, therefore it is called Bodhisattva. The vehicle of that one is: the Mind-Only school establishes as ultimate truth the self-knowing, self-illuminating consciousness that is without the two, grasper and grasped, and the Middle Way school establishes as ultimate truth that all phenomena are free from elaboration. With the intention and engaging mind that are merely conventional illusion, the ten perfections are practiced extensively for the two benefits, and by meditating on the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment on the four paths of learning, the ground of All-Illuminating Light is attained in three countless eons. As it is said in the Extensive [Commentary]: "Realizing the two selflessnesses, perfecting the perfections, the yogi who gradually traverses the ten grounds, the path of traveling to the Buddha ground, obtaining the state, is well obtained by the two truths." Thus it is.

So. The vehicle of secret mantra is: In the extensive explanation: "The king of self-awareness who realizes the meaning of equality, just as all rivers flow into the great ocean, in these great methods that realize the ultimate meaning, all the immeasurable vehicles of liberation are included." Therefore, in the relative truth, having thoughts and actions that are non-dual towards all phenomena, and viewing the two truths as good and bad to be accepted or rejected, is superior to the vehicle of cause. Since all of these are complete here, it is unsurpassed. Within that vehicle, there are two: the outer Action Tantra and the inner Method Tantra. The outer is the three sections of Kriya Yoga. That is, in the ultimate sense, realizing purity that is free from the four extremes, and in the conventional sense, viewing the deity and oneself as master and servant, requesting accomplishments. Relying mainly on external activities such as cleanliness and asceticism, it is believed that one can attain the position of Vajradhara of the three families in seven lifetimes, which is Kriya, the action. Because one practices viewing, meditation, yoga tantra, and conduct like the action, it is believed that one can attain the position of Vajradhara of the four families in five lifetimes, which is called Ubhaya, the practice of both. In the ultimate sense, the blessings of the signless Dharma nature are established in the mandala of the conventional Vajradhatu. Viewing oneself as the samaya being and the deity as the wisdom being, without good or bad, relying mainly on yoga and practicing, it is believed that one can attain the position of the five families in three lifetimes, which is Yoga, the vehicle of yoga. In the inner Method Tantra, all phenomena are established as the mind itself, the indivisible emptiness and clarity, the supreme Dharmakaya. Meditating on the meaning of objectless self-illumination, and practicing without acceptance or rejection in that state, one will be liberated in this very life. The second has two aspects: division according to antidotes, and also gathering according to the differences in faculties. The first is from ignorance to the words that will be spoken. Due to the co-emergent ignorance of beings, the afflictions arising from distorted conceptualizations, equal to the three poisons, are twenty-one thousand each, totaling eighty-four thousand. As antidotes to these, the doors of Dharma are also gathered by the three pitakas and the equivalent Vidyadhara pitaka, those four, the eighty-four thousand previously mentioned.
