The special method of practice is the root of the path, because it has become the essence of all teachings, so it is the essence. The basis does not change, and the path does not deceive in realizing it, therefore, in terms of meaning, both are not reversed, so it is Suchness. Because it is determined here to be free from slander, it is completely certain. As it is said in the Later Tantra: "The secret is explained in the Dharma origin, and the essence is also its method. Because both are not reversed, it is completely certain here." Just like it is said. Furthermore, there is a tradition of combining the name and method with the upper gate, explaining it like the inside, and combining it with the lower gate, explaining it like the secret, but it is not elaborated here, if you want to elaborate, it will be explained by the explainer. Third, refuting the argument: Some say, "Your tantra does not mention Chinese at the beginning, so will it become Tibetan?" Not necessarily, because many treatises composed in Tibet also have Chinese written at the beginning, but this will not make them become Indian works. Similarly, although it is usually the translator who writes the Sanskrit general title at the beginning, it is believed that this was written by the compiler. At the beginning of the Sanskrit manuscript, it says: "गुह्यगर्भतत्वविनिश्चय (guhyagarbhatattvaviniścaya)", but the translator did not like being verbose, so he translated the title into Tibetan, thinking that repeating a name twice was not necessary, so he did not write Chinese. The second part has three: the beginning is prostration to show the meaning of the title; the middle is explaining the actual meaning of the tantra; the end is showing the function of the tantra being complete. The first part is: Homage to the Bhagavan Samantabhadra. It means: Destroying all inharmonious aspects such as the four maras is the perfection of abandonment; all great qualities are naturally endowed with self-aware wisdom, which is the perfection of realization. The word "འདས་པ" ('das pa) (transcendence) does not exist in Sanskrit, as it says in the Vinaya: "In order to transcend the worldly Bhagavan, the word 'transcendence' is added." Although it is said like this, adding the word "transcendence" is not like suddenly adding something unrelated to Sanskrit with powerful wisdom. For example, in the Two Examinations, it says: "The Buddha has Bhaga, therefore he is called Bhagavan. Bhaga has six aspects, namely all qualities such as power.

Or, in order to destroy the demons such as afflictions, it is called Bhagavan. As the word Bhagavan indicates, Bhaga means both 'destroyed' and 'six perfections'. Similarly, here, from the sound of adding letters, Bha means 'a-abhaviṣyanti', that is, 'will not arise', and Ga means 'gati', that is, 'gone'. Therefore, it has gone to the true state and will not return to the false state. In meaning, because of great wisdom and compassion, it does not abide at the edge of samsara and nirvana. Therefore, it is called 'gone', distinguishing it from the worldly Bhagavan. As the Avatamsaka Sutra says: 'Liberated from existence and peace, virtues are like the ocean, without duality, surpassing all elaborations, the Bhagavan is like the vast sky.' Auspiciousness is the basis, the Dharmadhatu, which is extremely pure and is known as the spontaneously accomplished auspiciousness. The fruit of manifesting it as it is is the self-benefit auspiciousness of realizing the Dharmakaya, and the spontaneously arising Rupakaya from its nature, which tames whatever needs to be tamed, is the other-benefit auspiciousness of compassion. Moreover, having understood the nature of all dharmas, which is without bondage or liberation, the field of activity is completely pure, hence it is Samantabhadra. As the Secret of Wisdom Sutra says: 'The nature is unmoving, spontaneously complete, and the field of activity is completely Samantabhadra.' To that, I pay homage, the Lord of Secrets performs the homage of meeting the view through realizing the unity of the object and the one who pays homage. Some consider it the translator's homage, and others consider it the scribe's homage, but this is not the case. As the Sparshakhabba says: 'When the compiler organizes the words, it is expressing homage to his teacher.' If that is the case, wouldn't the translator's homage be interrupted? There is no fault. Just as in the beginning of the Condensed Tantra of the Kalachakra, the scribe's homage is used as a section, and the translator's homage is not listed separately, it is the same here. Second, explaining the actual meaning of the tantra, which resides in twenty-two chapters. The first chapter has two parts: the text and the title. First, the text has three parts: briefly stating the beginning in an uncommon way, explaining it in detail in the way of the beginning of the special tantra, and summarizing the meaning of the beginning. The first is: the beginning of the tantra is the nature of the five perfections.
