Because one leaves the self-arisen wisdom uncorrected by the mind of meditation, therefore it is said that way. As it says in the Extensive Treatise: "Uncorrected, spontaneously equal, just as it is, remains." Because of this reason. Second, the non-mistaken suchness, the dharmata, can be spoken of, because the uncorrected suchness, from habituation, appears as many mudras of the result, body and wisdom, because it is non-mistaken, therefore it is said that way. As it says in the Extensive Treatise: "The cause and effect spontaneously abide in a state of accomplishment." Because of this reason. Third, the non-other suchness, the dharmata, can be spoken of, because the result is also when the obscuring clinging is purified, it arises from the appearance of the meaning that one has oneself, it is not from another place. As it says in this very text: "Wonderful, miraculous, marvelous dharma, it does not come from another place." And as it says in the Extensive Treatise: "However many lineages of oral transmission, the essence of the true meaning, even if sought from another place, it is not found, it is self-knowing, stainless, pure." Because of this reason. Fourth, certainty. This name, dharmata, also has three divisions, because it is certain in the ground, path, and result. First, certainty in the ground, dharmata, can be spoken of, because the ground's continuum, the natural secret essence, is true in that it is free from imputation and denigration of dharmata, therefore it is said that way. As it says in this very text: "The secret essence, in which imputation and denigration are pacified, that very nature, is brought forth from the realm of certainty." Because of this reason. Second, certainty in the path, dharmata, can be spoken of, because according to the system of this vehicle, the very result that has been present from the beginning is certain to be made into the path by the action of obtaining knowledge. As it says: "This is the great secret certainty, the result becomes the path." Because of this reason. Third, certainty in the result, dharmata, can be spoken of, because this continuum, by its own nature, manifests and teaches the definitive meaning of the Victorious Ones' intention, which is to be expressed, therefore it is said that way. As it says in this very text: "In all the mandalas of the Victorious Ones, there is no secret meaning more profound than this." This is how it is explained, and this is how the text, "The Secret Essence, That Very Nature, Certainty," arises. Now, the second method of explanation, like the inner one, is to explain by combining the means-path with the door.

What is it like? To explain that, this text that was just mentioned arises. In that, there are two sections: explaining in conjunction with the heart chakra, and explaining in conjunction with the four names and the four chakras. The first of these, explaining in conjunction with the heart chakra, is: These four meanings of the names, as for them, can be explained in conjunction with the heart chakra, because the heart, the dharma wheel, in the center of the eight petals, has the five great essences, and in the center of that, the bindu of the essence of wisdom has always been present, but because it is obscured by its own secret means, it is not seen, that is "secret". The bindu itself contains the essence of the meaning of what is to be known and what is to be accomplished, so it is the "essence". By practicing through the door of having the essential instructions of skillful means, one's own mind naturally manifests as the wisdom of great bliss, co-emergent, so it is "suchness". The bindu of the essence definitely establishes the actual basis of the three: ground, path, and result, so it is "certainty", therefore it is said in that way. The second is explaining in conjunction with the four names and the four chakras: This name called "secret", as for it, can be explained in conjunction with the bindu of the five elements of space, in the center of the navel chakra's sixty-four petals, existing in the form of the letter "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal Chinese meaning: A), because it exists connected to the tip of the bindu of the secret space of the mother. "Essence", as for it, can be explained in conjunction with the bindu of the essence of wisdom residing in the center of the five essences of the heart chakra, because it is the essence that gathers the essence of all dharmas. "Suchness", as for it, can be explained as residing in the center of the sixteen petals of the throat chakra, the bindu of the fierce dakini, in the shape of "Am" (Tibetan: ཨཾ, Devanagari: अं, Romanized Sanskrit: aṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Am), because as soon as that bindu blazes with light, bliss arises, so it does not waver from suchness. "Certainty", as for it, can be explained in conjunction with the bindu of Samantabhadra, in the center of the thirty-two petals of the crown chakra, existing in the form of "Ham" (Tibetan: ཧཾ, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Ham), because the great bliss, non-conceptual wisdom, that arises from it is definitely the actual basis of the intention of all the Buddhas. What is explained is: the secret essence, suchness, certainty. This text arose in this way. So, what is the third method of explanation, explaining in conjunction with the lower door of skillful means, like the secret? To explain that
