Regarding the key points of body and speech, and the way of keeping the mind, as before, but the key to the way of looking is to open the eyes very wide and look in a prominent way. The sky is blue and clear, and one's own mind is clear and inseparable from the sky, and meditate without thoughts. Whether in day or night yoga, if dullness predominates, place both hands on the knees and hold the breath slightly, then exhale vigorously from both the nose and mouth. If distraction predominates, visualize the body as a ball of light, and then eliminate it by making it smaller and smaller, finer and finer, merging into an invisible state. Meditating like this, combining day and night yoga, the wind and mind merge into the Avadhūta (Tibetan: ཨ་བ་དྷུ་ཏི།, Sanskrit Devanagari: अवधूत, Sanskrit Romanization: Avadhūta, Chinese literal meaning: Defiled), thereby stopping. The ten signs manifest. It is said in the Ŗgy-a-ralli: "Completely abandon all thoughts, all senses must be turned back. In a quiet secluded place, completely abandon all duality. Turn the eyes upwards, place the mind between the eyebrows. The practitioner will initially see endless darkness." Like this, first are the five signs of the wisdom aspect: earth-wind merges into the central channel, like smoke; water-wind merges, like a mirage; fire-wind merges, like a firefly; wind-wind merges, like a burning candle. The bindus that arise from above and below that, are the five elements of wind merging, therefore it is the wisdom aspect, so there are five. Similarly, in the method aspect, there are five daytime signs: the five winds of wind, fire, water, earth, and space merge into the central channel, in order, yellow burning like a flickering flame, white burning like the moon, red burning like the sun, black burning with a sound experience, and the supreme part, which is like lightning. It is said that a sign like a cloudless sky will appear, which is the basis for the daytime signs. Therefore, it is not counted separately among the ten signs. Apart from that, countless uncertain signs will appear, and they all belong to any one of those ten signs. Seeing empty forms is also relying on the physical eye, seeing through the manifestation of the senses. In addition, bodily experiences, speech experiences, mind experiences, dream experiences, etc. will also occur a lot, which can be understood from experienced people.

It should be arranged in this way. Second, the limb of meditative concentration is: previously, during the time of gathering, the empty form that is seen, causing the mind to abide in one-pointedness, which means that the mind is not distracted from the object of focus. Regarding this, the body posture and speech posture are like gathering, and the mind posture is also similar to abiding without moving. However, the difference here is that during the time of gathering, whether one sees the empty form or not, one focuses the mind solely on space and abides there. Here, with the appearance of the empty form seen during the day, one gazes without wavering, with the view described in gathering. The mind also aims at that very empty form, without making mental fabrications such as "this is it, this is not it." Instead, one gazes with awareness at the very face of that empty form, so that the appearance is not obstructed. The nature of the place and time is inexpressible, and recognizing and knowing that state of being free from elaboration is the limb of wisdom. From this, one experiences the arising of awareness as one's own mind, and the practice of knowing that it is free from characteristics. Based on this, one experiences special joy and bliss in body and mind, and the extreme bliss of the merging of object and subject without separation. As it is said in the tantra, "Meditative concentration is also wisdom, discrimination and investigation, joy and immovability, and the one-pointed bliss of a hero." As it is said, the five limbs of meditative concentration will arise in sequence. If one has not gained stability on the empty form, then during meditative equipoise, practice gathering itself. During breaks between sessions, do roughly similar actions, and focus on the ordinary appearances of karma, merely recognizing that its nature is clear and ungraspable, and cultivate this. By familiarizing oneself with the state of meditation and post-meditation, the limbs of meditative concentration will arise quickly. Furthermore, if the empty form has become stable, but the empty form is not clear when the eyes are closed, then during the daytime yoga, gradually lower the empty form that appears in the sky, directing the gaze onto any object of karmic appearance, and hold the mind there. In this way, the karmic appearance will cease, merge with the arising of awareness, and ultimately the vast appearance of clear light will arise. If the empty form is clear when the eyes are closed, then holding the mind in the central channel, the meeting point of the three channels, will especially stabilize the mind, and there will be light in the nostrils.
