In the intervals of meditating on life force, the mind does not discriminate, and the speech is in the manner of vase breathing. The body's training is first slow, then strong and powerful, repeated again and again. The length of exhalation and the amount of force should also be adjusted according to the situation. By striving in this way, the ten airs of the left and right channels, due to the power of being blocked in the central channel, will cause experiences of the body, experiences of speech, experiences of mind, experiences of vision, and experiences of dreams to arise extensively, and these can also be seen by the direct perception of consciousness. The fourth branch is holding, which is the binding and holding of air and mind in the central channel's bindu through the combination of vase breathing with the air that has mixed the life air and downward-clearing air of life force. Here, the viewing method is also similar to life force. First, the vase breathing of the navel is: slightly tighten the lower air, fill the upper air completely, and after pressing down below the navel, strongly tighten the lower air, concentrating it at the navel. The upper air is only pressed, not forced down, and visualize all the airs dissolving into the bindu of the navel. Similarly, the vase breathing of the heart is almost the same as this, except that after completing the vase breathing at the navel, it is guided to the heart, the two hands are crossed behind the back in the vajra knot mudra, the left and right thumbs are extended, and the chest is opened. The vase breathing of the throat is: sit in the lotus position, place the elbows inside the knees, cross the fingers and press the back of the head, turn the head, inhale air from the mouth, tighten forcefully at the back of the head, press the Adam's apple with the throat, and push the throat downwards. The vase breathing of the forehead is almost the same as this, except that the hands still press down from the crown of the head as before, and when inhaling, the air is stored in the back of the palate. The vase breathing of the crown chakra is also the same as this, except that the focus is on the chakra of the crown. The vase breathing of the secret place is: support the anus with one heel, press the secret place with one heel, stretch both hands outward from the buttocks and place them at the measured position, face upwards, press the air forcefully and for a long time, guide the downward-clearing air from both the anus and urethra multiple times, and press the upward-moving air below the perineum, combining the two. In all of these, visualize all the airs dissolving into the bindu at the center of each chakra, at the location of each chakra.

It is very important to repeatedly practice the intention of abiding like a gathering of clouds. Moreover, if you do not control the channels and winds while practicing, there will be great obstacles. Therefore, beginners should practice vase breathing in the navel chakra about twenty times, and then practice vase breathing in the heart chakra once or twice. After practicing like this twice, practice vase breathing in the throat chakra once, and so on, gradually calculating and practicing. In this way, at the end of the five chakras, perform one practice of secret vase breathing. Although you do not raise and hold the vase breathing of the heart chakra for the three places of the throat, forehead, and crown, when exhaling, all the vase breathing above the heart chakra must be lowered to the navel and then exhaled. After exhaling, it is very important to protect it in an undistracted state as originally intended, and to rest. If you are worried about the breath stagnating, at the end of the heart chakra vase breathing, contract the upper body and make a "Ha" sound. At the end of the throat, close your mouth, raise the throat air and exhale. At the end of the forehead and crown, block the nose with your fingers, raise the air of the skull and exhale. Then, in order to jointly eliminate heat and clinging, use a strong long "Hūṃ" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) to raise the downward-moving air upwards, and also inhale air on top of the short "Hūṃ" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ), and continuously practice guiding the downward-moving air many times. The body posture is to raise the hips upwards and squat. Pass your hands through the inside of your thighs and pull from the front of your shins. Also, while holding the breath outwards, use a long "Hūṃ" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) to guide and alternately contract the two lower doors strongly. Also, after exhaling, repeatedly apply force to the two lower doors. For this, the body posture is the same as before, or place the bone between the two ischial tuberosities on the seat, and use the strength of your hands to lift the two buttocks upwards. For both of these, in the state of generating the power of the hermaphrodite channels and winds, repeatedly and strongly contract and relax the lower doors, and alternately inhale the upper air through the mouth and nose, swallow it into the throat and push it into the navel, and repeatedly make belching sounds. This third channel and wind practice is very sharp, so it can effortlessly mix the life air and downward-moving air of the left and right sides. It is the same as the key points and instructions for combining "Hūṃ" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hūṃ) and "Phaṭ" (Tibetan: ཕཊ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: फट्, Sanskrit Romanization: phaṭ, Chinese literal meaning: Phaṭ), but it is said that this is even more profound. In the intervals between practices, you should strive to exercise the body, and through the heat, mix the winds of the left, right, above, and below into one taste, and hold it, thereby dissolving it into the central channel, from which arises the experience of bliss and warmth and the sound of immovability.
