No. It is obvious that it is difficult to find leisure and fortune by looking at the number of humans and animals, and no other reason is needed. Thirdly, the temporary desire is the basis for higher realms, and the ultimate goal is the state of liberation from samsara forever, or the great Bodhi, which one also wants to attain in this lifetime and body. Even if one wants to attain it, if one can manage it oneself, it can be accomplished through the basis, so there is no need to look for it anew, but one is carrying it oneself. Looking at how much of the essence of leisure and fortune has been attained before, what is it like? If one considers the quantity and order of the requests and the attainments, it seems to be at the end of the path, but let that be. Let alone the years, months, and days, at least see if one has practiced a Dharma that has been essential for one session. Many people have recitation years and meditation years, but there is not a single one that has hit the mark. Essence (སྙིང༵་པོ༵་ཅི༵་ལོ༵ན་དགོ༵ས་པ༵, Tibetan; , Sanskrit Devanagari; , Sanskrit Romanization; need essence) It is best to attain Buddhahood in this life, the middle is to grasp the path of liberation, and the worst is not to fall into the lower realms, otherwise what is the difference between it and an animal with horns on its head? In particular, we monks seem to need to be a little better, but the extent of Dharma practice has become only a tool for this life, and worldly affairs can be completed whenever they are started, but there will definitely not be a time when they are completed, so from now on, for as long as there is a little life left, if one does not cut off attachment to this life, there is absolutely no way to accomplish a single pure Dharma. The compassionate Teacher, the venerable Mila, the great accomplished Khakhyap Lingpa, and other holy beings seem to have had more wisdom than us, but because they could not accomplish this life and the next together, they had to abandon it, so if one accomplishes worldly things, there is no point in mixing it with Dharma. If one wants to practice Dharma, see if one can not deceive oneself and accomplish it properly from one thing at a time. Thinking in this way, the extent of turning away from the mind is that even if one is slightly distracted by meaningless things, one will feel regret, which is the extent of being on the path. As said before, if one session does not go on the path, there will be no other result than sleeping or chasing after thoughts, so be liberated. Do not let the breaks between sessions be too loose, but remember the meditation content of the session, and it is necessary to not be separated from that essence. Now, the way we practice Dharma is like an accomplished one letting whatever arises appear without obstruction, doing the head when one remembers the head, doing the tail when one remembers the tail, meditating when one remembers meditation, studying when one remembers studying, etc., doing whatever arises.

Therefore, from now on, make vows that align with your abilities and diligence. When you wake up in the morning, abandon thoughts like, "Today I will do these meaningless things," and strive to make the leisure and endowment meaningful. Especially during the morning and evening practice sessions, strongly generate the intention, "I will do this, I will do that." At the end of the session and before going to bed at night, check whether you have fulfilled your vows. If things go poorly, not a single thing for the next life will be accomplished, and the day will be wasted. Even if things go well, it will surely be like "Haré Shiré," so make the vow, "I will not do that again." If you are on the road, generate the thought, "Let me see if I can go beyond meditating on joy." Usually, if you cannot guard your own mind, since it is the mind that practices, what will you practice? Wanting to be liberated from samsara but relying too much on others will not work. I was not brought here initially by anyone else; I was driven by my own karma. The root of karma lies in the clinging to "I, I." To cut it off from the root, there is no other way than to practice the Dharma, so you must encounter the profound Dharma. To point out the key to that, you need to rely on a guru, a virtuous spiritual friend. When the guru says they have imparted the pith instructions, it is like pouring the Dharma they have realized in their heart from one vessel into another, imparting it without any concealment; there is no other way. "Having or not having the freedom to practice the Dharma" does not refer to being slightly busy with household chores. It refers to being born in the three lower realms, etc., and being constantly tormented by suffering, unable to practice the Dharma. Now, all the conditions that are difficult to gather are gathered together at once, like a poor person finding a treasure. With joy, you must eliminate temporary and long-term poverty. If you do not obtain the essence this time, then to obtain leisure and endowment in the future, you need to purely uphold the precepts of abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions, and vast virtuous deeds such as generosity. Looking at yourself, it is difficult to say whether you have even a single pure offering of a handful of food that will lead to obtaining a human body in the next life. Therefore, you must practice a genuine Dharma that truly benefits the next life. Genuine means real or authentic. No matter from which aspect you examine it, you must understand it as the pure Dharma that has not become an image, which is very important. Examine whether other supports are complete with leisure and endowment. From this, infer what obstacles and favorable conditions are present in your own mindstream. This also
