May I be liberated from the ocean of samsara, I pray. Having well contemplated that all beings pervading the sky are one's own parents, 3 With pure intention of love and compassion, Always cherish being diligent in accomplishing the benefit and happiness of others. In short, guide all relatives and friends well towards the sacred Dharma, 4 And encourage everyone to abandon sins and accumulate virtues, and to strive in reciting the six syllables. By doing so, the ultimate goal will be accomplished. 5 This is what Depa Tashi said, Dharma Shri specially narrated these words. ༈ Advice to Khampa nephew Gyurme Sonam. Oṃ svasti (藏文：ༀ་སྭ་སྟི།，梵文天城体：ॐ स्वस्ति，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ svasti，汉语字面意思：Om, may there be well-being). The glory of the compassion and activity of the boundless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, To the all-pervading great treasure Dharma King, I pray and take refuge from the depths of my heart. Listen, Gyurme Sonam! Having obtained the rare leisure and endowment of a human body, Being seized by a qualified spiritual friend, At this time of encountering the teachings of the Buddhas, Summarize the essence into the sacred Dharma. To the incomparable kindness of the Lama, Place your hopes well from the depths of your heart, See whatever he does as good, and accomplish it according to his instructions. All sentient beings pervading the sky, Are one's own parents in past lives, To those tormented by intense suffering, Accomplish benefit with love and compassion. For the sake of the short-lived happiness of this life, If you think about how to strive diligently, Wouldn't you be diligent in the sacred Dharma, or are you crazy? Therefore, look at wealth in this way, Don't be attached, for the sake of accomplishing the benefit of yourself and others. From the foundation of ethics arises, On the tree of samadhi, the flowers of wisdom bloom and flourish, And then may the fruit of liberation ripen. In general, the teachings of the Buddha, and in particular, the lineage of the vidyadhara lotus, And especially the teachings of the great treasure Dharma King, Hold them well in the center of your heart, With the activity of the three activities of teaching, practice, and action, Take the strength of propagation on your shoulders. Temporarily, also in two ways, In order to serve the teachings, All activities should be adapted to the country and time, So that you yourself are satisfied and others are envious. From that, all the good qualities of this life and the next, Like a wish-fulfilling tree and a good vase, Like a wish-fulfilling jewel, All the fruits of hope will be accomplished. Thus, the wise Khampa, To the nephew Gyurme Sonam, The old man Dharma Shri advises. May auspiciousness increase in all directions and times!

愿吉祥！ शुभमस्तु (Śubhamastu，梵文罗马拟音：Śubhamastu，愿吉祥)。 ༈ འགྱུར་མེད་མཆོག་གྲུབ་བཟང་པོར་གདམས་པ། 给不变殊胜成就善者之教言。 ༀ་སྭ་སྟི་སིདྡྷཾ། （藏文：嗡，梵文天城体：ॐ，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ，汉语字面意思：嗡），（藏文：索悉地，梵文天城体：स्वस्ति，梵文罗马拟音：svasti，汉语字面意思：吉祥），（藏文：悉殿，梵文天城体：सिद्ध，梵文罗马拟音：siddhaṃ，汉语字面意思：成就）。 智慧慈悲能力之自性，掘藏师吉德秋林巴（gter bdag gling）。 顶礼于恩德无与伦比者， 我之信心莲花湖中， 心之天鹅尽情嬉戏， 从中发出心语之妙音。 难以做到，决心又小，世间人之事， 无论如何努力皆是欺骗之法， 此生与来世之一切有为法中， 不欺骗，确定无疑唯有殊胜之佛法。 因此，对于暂时，无可奈何， 相似的， 世间微小安乐莫贪恋， 莫将懒惰罪恶之友当主人， 恒常精进于殊胜佛法事业。 如此暇满人身极难得， 易坏，若从世间送往他世时， 去往何处亦无自主权， 来世永久之大事，现在就做吧！ 不欺骗， 至尊救护佛法僧， 善依导师、道与友， 从内心满怀希望而皈依， 此乃一切佛法之根基。 若不以守护恶行之学处来约束， 三门放逸之行为将造就恶趣， 因此，自己如何承诺之， 戒律学处如生命般珍爱守护。 纵然修习禅定，若无闻法之眼， 不知修持之理，会将殊胜之道当粪土， 因此，永不满足地积累闻法之义， 并以思所成慧恒常守护。 纵然广闻博学，若不付诸实践， 有眼之盲人如何到达所欲之处？ 因此，乘坐禅定智慧之大船， 从轮回之海中解脱吧！ 若未掌握正确的见解， 无论修习什么禅定，皆是有为之善， 因此，通达轮涅一切法之智慧， 无法言说之原始法界中，祈愿融入其中。 见解之悟境虽好，若不修习， 纵然精通道之传承，不走又怎能到达？ 因此，以生圆双运之修持， 清净生老病死中阴三者之错觉显现。 区分取舍，学习行为时，轮回之法， 虽知无有显现如幻，然未证悟， 黑白业果不欺骗， 故应精通断恶行善之实践。 思维功德，并努力修持其因。

In all existences of this and future lives, The only thing that does not deceive and is certain is the sacred Dharma. Therefore, for the sake of the temporary, the unavoidable, Do not cling to this small worldly happiness, And without giving in to laziness and sinful friends, Always strive in the work of the sacred Dharma. This kind of leisure and fortune of human life is difficult to obtain, And easy to perish, when lifting the world to the other shore, There is also no freedom to be born wherever one pleases, Therefore, accomplish the great purpose of the future now. Non-deceptive, Supreme refuge, Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, Relying well on the teacher, path, and friend, From the heart, with hope, take refuge, This is the foundation stone of all Dharmas. If not restrained by the precepts that protect against misdeeds, The three doors acting carelessly will create bad destinies, Therefore, whatever vows you have taken yourself, Protect the precepts as dearly as life. Even if you meditate, without the eye of hearing, You will not know how to practice, and you will make the supreme path into dung. Therefore, without being satisfied, accumulate the meaning of hearing, And always protect it with wisdom born of thought. Even if you hear a lot, if you do not put it into practice, How can a blind person with eyes reach where they want to go? Therefore, ride on the great ship of the wisdom of meditation, And be liberated from the ocean of samsara. If not grasped by the confidence of correct view, Whatever meditation and practice you do is just conditioned virtue. Therefore, the wisdom that understands all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, In the inexpressible primordial realm, may I merge into it. Even if the understanding of view is good, if you do not meditate, Even if you are skilled in the lineage of the path, how can you reach without going? Therefore, with the practice of generation and completion, purify the illusory appearances of birth, death, and bardo. When learning to discriminate and act, the phenomena of samsara, Although you understand that they are non-existent and like illusions, without realizing it, The fruits of black and white karma are not deceptive, Therefore, be skilled in the practice of abandoning evil and doing good. Think about the qualities, and strive to accomplish their cause.
