Apart from considering the ground as primordially pure in terms of tenets, it is very correct not to accept the six grounds. However, the great Dolpopa explained the final turning of the wheel as definitive meaning and affirmed that the Sugata-garbha is permanent, stable, truly established, pure, blissful, and self-existent, and the Nyingma uncommon tenet explained by the Omniscient Dharma King, I understand that these two are established as having the same position. Therefore, although many special understandings are realized from the secret words of this lama, if these were written down as they are, then the notion that Dzogchenpas are now considered to be just among Buddhists would also be reversed, and it would be considered similar to the tenets of the Tirthikas. Because I saw the key point that being very afraid of the profound secrets would lead to accumulating the serious karma of abandoning the Dharma, I abandoned the most secret talks that most scholars and accomplished ones did not know, and explained and recorded the view of the seven grounds as my own tenet. The reason for this is that by refuting the six grounds and pursuing the intention of accepting the seventh ground, it has actually been established that the primordial ground is pure, blissful, and the permanent self. The Omniscient Lord also thinks so, and in the Treasury of Word Meanings, when speaking about how the essence of the Buddha pervades the realm of sentient beings, he quoted the testimony of the Nirvana Sutra, saying: "Whatever I have said that all dharmas are emptiness, this is said to guide those children who are attached to self. In reality, the only Tathagata-garbha is the ultimate truth." Thus, he explained that all dharmas are emptiness and selflessness as provisional meaning, and considered the Tathagata-garbha to be self-existent, but he also explained that it is different from the permanent self of the Tirthikas, so he does not accept either the extreme of permanence or impermanence, but in relation to the unchanging and undiminishing, Lord Maitreya said: "That is for the sake of permanence and stability, for the sake of peace and eternity." Therefore, it is certain that he affirms that it has the nature of permanence as stated in the scriptures. If these were publicly proclaimed, due to not understanding the key points, it would be misunderstood as speaking of a tenet that does not accept the four seals of the Dharma, thereby inviting displeasure, so it is recorded out of necessity.

Given that you acknowledge the presence of Buddhahood, and in accordance with your own understanding, from a correct perspective, I myself am also very much in agreement. However, if I may present this as a pure-hearted jest, great spiritual friend, you have cited the quote, "I and limitless sentient beings are primordially Buddhas," as proof that sentient beings' minds possess genuine Buddhahood. If this is to be accepted literally, then I and limitless sentient beings, subject, are Buddhas, because we are primordially Buddhas, as it is said, "I and limitless sentient beings are primordially Buddhas." This is pervasive. Because it is a literal interpretation. Because it is encompassed by the words of that scripture, and the fact that it is stated in this way is manifestly established. Furthermore, it can be established that there is a Buddha residing within the husk of afflictions, just as the nine examples of being within the husk of rags and the earth are stated in the Uttaratantra Shastra. The Tathagatagarbha residing within the husk of defilements, subject, is a Buddha, because it is a Buddha. The sign is accepted. If you assert that, then the Buddha residing within the husk of afflictions, subject, is not separate from adventitious defilements, because it resides within that husk. This is pervasive. Because "residing within that husk" is merely an example using a physical object; it must actually be understood as implying the presence of defilements. If it is not understood in this way, but rather as simply existing separately, like a house and a person, then even those who have attained Buddhahood at the time of ultimate fruition would still be residing within the house of samsara and within the husk of impure things. Therefore, it would have to be admitted that even at the time of ultimate fruition, they have not been liberated from the husk of defilements. Moreover, at the ground stage, the Tathagatagarbha and afflictions must exist independently, like the heartwood and the bark, but this is not the case. If you assert the root, then that, subject, is not a Buddha possessing defilements, because it is a Buddha that is separate from defilements, because it is a Buddha that has abandoned defilements, because it is a Buddha. Furthermore, the power of knowing what is and is not possible in the mindstream of an old Tibetan dog, subject, you know what is and is not possible, because you know it in that way.
