It is like this, before stability is attained, starting from the method of settling the mind after dissolving the refuge field above, gradually increasing the level of practice, striving for unity in practice. In this way, the states of the paths of Sutra, Mahamudra, and Dzogchen Semde's instructions will be mastered. Such a view, by utilizing techniques such as arousing appearances, devotion, and compassion, blends Dharma with one's own continuum, thereby making the practitioner worthy of the name. For this purpose, as before, do not be seduced by temporary distractions and trivial matters, but diligently plant the three doors firmly in the sacred Dharma, so that the two benefits of self-nature will be effortlessly accomplished. This is the answer from Tsangyang Trinle, a monk of the Great Jokhang Temple from Dartse Do (Kangding). To the venerable Tsangyang Trinle, a monk of the Great Jokhang Temple from Dartse Do (Kangding): It is excellent to perform the recitation of White Manjushri as you are doing. This sadhana is in accordance with the Sutra and is very clear. There are not many difficult points that are confusing, so there is nothing to ask. But in general, this practice belongs to the Action Tantra, so it should be based on maintaining cleanliness. Regarding the arrangement, place a covered seat in front, spread with white rice. The torma to be offered during the session break is made from white three foods and sweet three foods, mixed with ghee and white sugar. The offering is a white, round torma, now called a torma seat, surrounded by four finger rings, placed in a precious container. In front of it, starting from the left, arrange the five offerings with two waters in front. If the residence is spacious, a cushion of kusha grass can be spread opposite it. Instruments such as bells or cymbals, as well as mandalas and flowers, are also arranged in front. Before entering retreat, offer a white torma to the earth deity, praying for the removal of obstacles, and offer a torma to the demons, expelling them. At this time, although it is not explicitly stated in the ritual, one should abide in the pride of a wrathful deity of the same kind as Yamantaka, and also visualize a protective wheel. Then, the actual practice is performed in four sessions: dawn, morning, noon, and dusk. When first entering retreat, cleanse the entire body with fragrant water.

Just washing hands, although the Lower Tantras mention a special method of bathing called "Near Touch," it is not done here. Therefore, at the beginning of each session, like a monk's ablutions, perform an outer bath and purify with an inner bath by abandoning the conceptual thoughts of the three mental poisons. Taking refuge is: starting from "I and all beings" etc., which is at the beginning of the commonly known Dharma practice, the term "four sessions" is used because of focusing on the four: the Lama, Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha. The deity to be practiced is included within the category of Buddha, and also the "Mother of Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha" composed by Jowo Je (Atiśa) also includes all refuge and bodhicitta, and it is concise and has great blessings, so this is also sufficient. Generate bodhicitta, accumulate merit in the supreme place, and continuously confess. Accumulating merit for the inferior, the four immeasurables are given in this place, usually they are all there. Then, the main practice, from emptiness Practicing etc., until visualizing the chakra letters in the heart, is the same as usual, except that the eight-petaled lotus with the tip of the heart facing upwards opens in the form of a blooming flower, in the center of which is a white six-spoked wheel, with sharp tips, flat and existing as a seat, in the center of which is the moon mandala, in the center of which is A(藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿), and six letters are arranged clockwise from the front on the six spokes, existing upright without touching, and also because the wheel rotates clockwise and the letters rotate counterclockwise, white and red rays of light emanate, purifying the ignorance and obscurations, habitual tendencies, etc., thinking in this way is the basis of visualization, and the wheel and letters must rotate alternately, so there is no mistake in the wheel serving as a seat. Therefore, based solely on the deity's heart chakra and light, whatever clear appearance arises in the mind is taken as the basis. Without separating from this samadhi, begin recitation. The rosary is like bodhi seeds. During recitation, yawning, numbness, passing gas, etc., require repeating the mantra count. In any case, at the end of the four sessions of offering and the three sessions of blessings, offer to oneself with offerings and enjoyments. At a suitable time, such as the gap in the last session, open the self-generated deity in the sky in front and turn the face towards oneself.
