Oṃ. Barley, durva grass, vilva fruit, conch shell, lychee, white mustard seeds, etc., are arranged in accordance with the way they were offered to the Buddha Shakyamuni in the past, with the goddess of light holding a mirror and other items in their respective attire. The offering of items is slightly different depending on the person making the offering. One method is similar to that used during the enthronement ceremonies of the monastery's abbot. Another method is as described in Buton's consecration ritual, "Auspicious Increase." At this time, as previously mentioned, the actual offerings that appear in the Bodhicharyavatara are used as appropriate. They are enjoyed. Then there are the implements for offering the mandala, the mandala itself, and the container filled with flowers and fragrant water for arranging the mandala. Mandalas made of gold and silver, with mountains and continents, decorated with bouquets or various shapes, are all well displayed. In addition, the eight graces and the sixteen vidyas are included as dance props, and these are expressed through dance, as is the tradition in places like Shalu Monastery and Gongkar Chode Monastery, which seems good. Furthermore, the various types of offerings described in the outer and inner tantras, and the scattered teachings that have been bestowed, are all very good and will manifest in various ways. In addition to these, the unique offerings such as the flowers of the five senses will be very beneficial at special times, and the words for these offerings are described in detail in the ninth chapter of the Hevajra Tantra. However, a common manifestation like the present one does not seem appropriate. Most of the offerings that appear during the consecration ceremony are already included above in a direct or indirect way. In particular, razors and the life-force wheel are understood to be needed only during consecration. At this time, because it is closely related to the act of honoring stupas, it is appropriate to mention that, as in the past when the Buddha and his retinue were offered to in the city of Fire, it is said that the great gods such as Brahma wore masks and offered water, etc. Brahma offers bathing water.

Indra waving a cooling fan, Vishnu offering argham, and so on. The Four Great Kings, the leaders of the yaksha armies, and others, each with their own body color, hand symbols, ornaments, attire, retinues, and so on, appearing like dramas, the eight kinds of offering clouds, and so on, each holding similar offerings, arranged in order according to the situation in the intervals before and after the yellow-robed procession, would also be very appropriate. In any case, the preparations for the offerings should be rich in materials, with limitless wondrous displays that suit the occasion, based on pure conduct such as holiness, and the assemblies of the ocean-like sangha without sectarian bias, in a peaceful and serene state, holding various offerings, approaching the actions of offering and circumambulation. Fourth, because the sangha is very large this time, it is difficult to arrange the circumambulation and related offering ceremonies at once. Therefore, select from the sangha those with good voices and sharp minds, in appropriate numbers, wearing good monastic robes, etc., holding various musical instruments, in front of the great palace, where the thangkas, etc., are displayed, such as "Everywhere is pure land," etc., bless the ground, invite, bathe, offer, etc., according to the situation, based on the seven branches of the practice of goodness, offering in each direction, dedicating tormas to the Great Kings of that direction, entrusting activities, reciting auspicious verses, etc. During the circumambulation, reciting the circumambulation mantra from the Vimalakirti Sutra, etc., would be very good, and appropriate for the occasion. This is the idea of a simple-minded person. I pray that you will examine it with the eye of wisdom that has no obstruction to all things, and do not feel ashamed of my ignorance. Regarding the manner of making offerings during the circumambulation, it would be even better if you could compile a concise recitation text that is easy to recite from the Chöchö Rabsel (Clear Illumination of Dharma Practice), which you yourself would compile.
