La. The benefits of offering. Offerings that possess benefits. Among the four rituals of how to offer, the first is: From the Sutra of the King of All Dharmas: In the world with gods, Apart from the Three Jewels, There are no objects of offering, Therefore, offer to it with all things. As it is said, the Three Jewels in terms of what is represented are what those who desire liberation rely on for refuge. The Three Jewels of refuge, and the Three Jewels designated as symbols of them, are known as the supports of body, speech, and mind of the Sugata and his retinue. Now, in this case, the Buddha Jewel, with the distinction of two bodies, the support of the Dharmakaya is the great, stable stupa that surpasses all comparisons, symbolizing the eight great stupas of the Sugata. The support of the Rupakaya is the Tathagata Chakravartin, and those newly created with the appearance of supreme Nirmanakaya, and in the Lhasa Trulnang Temple, represented by the Jowo Shakyamuni, the actual face of the Tathagata, are limitless. The support of the Dharma Jewel is the Kangyur and Tengyur scriptures made of four kinds of precious materials. The support of the Sangha is the Bodhisattvas of the ten bhumis, the heart-sons of the Tathagata, and the images of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas, the speech-sons, and so on. In short, in the great mandala hall where countless amazing supports are made with various crafts such as painting, sculpting, and carving, and where offerings are gathered, the Tathagatas of the ten directions and their retinues, and all the holy Dharma protectors, are present as if gathered in a field of merit. These are called the Three Jewels in front, and they are the best objects of offering. Second: Such supports of the Three Jewels, whether they are built, or prostrated to, circumambulated, or offered to, or even just a joyful thought arises, the benefits of such virtuous deeds are inconceivable. Like the stupas of the Bhagavan, and the images

Having realized the Samadhi of the Form and Formless Realms, and having fully experienced all the supreme grounds of excellence, one ultimately attains the state of Buddhahood, free from the suffering of birth, aging, and so forth. Thus it is said. Whoever offers to the stupa of the Sugata whatever special offerings they desire and are able to obtain, those beings will surely attain stainless and sorrowless enlightenment. Whichever people reverently bow their heads and prostrate before the stupa or image of the Buddha, they will be greatly revered by gods and humans alike, becoming a place of the highest honor. Whoever circumambulates the stupa or image of the Buddha with faith, in future lives, they will be honored by Arhats, becoming a vessel of goodness, endowed with all virtues. So forth. Whichever wise person walks around the stupa of the Victorious One with utmost devotion, even a hundred thousand kotis of Jambudvipa's river gold would not equal it. Thus and so on, the benefits are extensively taught in many Sutras and Tantras. Thirdly, just as the excellent conduct of the Dharma King and his sons in the past, so too, the Dharma King, the son of the gods, the glorious Sangye Gyatso, with a mind as vast as the sky, completely victorious over all directions, saw the necessity of unsurpassed benefits. Thus, the Vajra of Speech of all the Tathagatas, the Lord of the Ten Bhumis, the great palace of the Snow Land Boat, constantly protected by the Lord of the World, and the great Tsuklakhang temple of miraculous appearance, the Vajra Seat of Tibet, are connected as a pair. The master of all humans and gods, the sovereign of all victors, the all-knowing Victorious One, the protector, Light Infinite Life and Wisdom, abiding immovably on the indestructible Vajra Yungdrung throne, and the representations of the Dharmakaya and Rupakaya, represented by the great long-life stupa, and the two Jowo Shakya statues, the representatives of the Teacher, and so on, in the vast assembly place of the ocean of the Three Jewels and the Victorious Ones, possessing intelligence and liberation, and the countless Sangha of the Tripitaka treasures and the Vidyadhara mantra practitioners, without sectarian divisions.
