It transformed. Then, the connection with "the month of enlightenment" and the naming of the Descent from Heaven as the small miracle, also symbolize the great miracle festival offering. The terminology of these names also arose from the previous spoken language, as if to protect the faces of the ministers. One is named "the offering of ancestors," and the reason for naming the other three as the offerings of "Sutra Pitaka," "Abhidhamma Pitaka," and "Vinaya Pitaka" is that offering is a virtuous act that pleases the holy place of offering. Therefore, at that time, the tradition of listening and teaching in the Dharma colleges of the respective three Pitakas also flourished, hence the naming. Generally, the essence of offering is: for the holy fields that have become the place of offering, with supreme reverence and a complete mind of offering, performing virtuous deeds through body, speech, and mind, and pleasing them through material offerings. The etymology is: derived from the Sanskrit word "ᱯཱུ་ཛཱ" (Sanskrit Devanagari: पूजा, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: pūjā, literal Chinese meaning: offering), meaning to generate beforehand, or to repeatedly generate joy, and to offer in a position of respect, hence it is called offering. In terms of classification, it is generally divided into mundane and supramundane, or offerings with and without superior. Among them, from the perspective of the place of offering, offering to the Three Jewels is a supramundane or unsurpassed offering, while offering to great gods, fierce gods, and Ishvara, etc., is a mundane offering or an offering with superior. Furthermore, from the difference in motivation, offering solely for the purpose of seeking higher realms is a mundane offering, and offering for the purpose of seeking liberation is a supramundane offering. Also, from the perspective of the objects of offering, offering with material objects, and accomplishing the methods to please the Buddhas through the three studies of hearing, thinking, and meditation, etc., are divided into transcendence and non-transcendence. From the perspective of form, offering with the deep wisdom of realizing emptiness is a supramundane offering, which is a part of liberation, and if it is not encompassed by it, it becomes a mundane offering, which is a part of merit, which is the general classification. Specifically, in specific situations, the basis for offering to the Three Jewels is the way of the object of offering.
