Considering this, Sakya Pandita said, "Like a Garuda's eggshell." Therefore, he refuted the view that after attaining the stage of the Path of Seeing here, merits would manifest in the Bardo. However, he could not refute the view of attaining Buddhahood in the Bardo, because he said that what is practiced here becomes a seed, and by practicing the path in the Bardo, one attains Buddhahood. Because he did not say that after attaining Buddhahood here, the merits of Buddhahood are perfected in the Bardo. This is similar to the practice of the Nyingma school's ripening empowerment Mahamudra. That is, in the early translations, there are four Vidyadharas: the Vidyadhara of Complete Nirvana without Remainder, the Vidyadhara of Life Empowerment with Remainder, the Mahamudra in which the five wisdoms are transformed into the five families, and the Vidyadhara of Spontaneous Accomplishment of the Ultimate Path, in which the five families are inseparable and freedom is attained. Among them, the first Vidyadhara is one who has attained the Path of Seeing but has not completed it, the second is one who has attained it and abides in completion, the third is from the second to the ninth Bhumi, and the fourth is the practice from the tenth Bhumi to the state of Buddhahood. Among them, the first Vidyadhara is: Although those of small intellect have seen the truth of Dharmata, they have not been able to purify the gross elements of the ripening body with the fire of wisdom. However, as soon as they abandon the body, like a Garuda breaking out of its shell, they do not need to newly attain the Path of Seeing, but can be united with the Mahamudra who has a body of wisdom illusion. As it is said: "Holding the form of a deity in the mind, after the bonds of the body are released, the body of Mahamudra becomes clear, this is called ripening." In short, the certainty that a yogi who has thoroughly practiced the stages of the path will attain Buddhahood in Akanishta is: In the Five Stages, it says: "After perfectly attaining manifest enlightenment, one approaches the pure realm, not turning back from the Buddha-field, one will become all-knowing in this very life." So, when a yogi attains Buddhahood in this realm, how does he attain Buddhahood in Akanishta in the pure realm? Wherever a yogi attains Buddhahood, that realm itself is the three realms, and it is also the place of the three Kayas and the pure land that are truly practiced, without distinction of direction or boundary, like the sky pervading everywhere. Beyond abandoning the impure realm, it cannot be sought with the mind. As it says in the Magical Mirror: "Completely abandoning the boundaries of purity, the supreme abode of Akanishta."

As it is said. Respectfully submitted as an answer to the Great Lord. Respectfully submitted as an answer to the Great Lord. In the Great Vehicle tradition, for a noble Bodhisattva who has given rise to the wisdom of non-conceptualization on the path of seeing, there is no ripening of karmic experiences. Therefore, the Protector Maitreya stated, "The noble ones have completely abandoned the suffering of death, disease, and aging." This is clearly shown. However, it is said that even with slight obscurations, subtle forms of suffering like illness may occur. The intention behind this is to encourage those of the Great Vehicle lineage to have certainty in the determination of cause and effect, and thus it is taught as a demonstration. Alternatively, according to the terminology of the Great Vehicle itself, as stated in the Ornament of Clear Realization, it is said that during the Great Accumulation Path, there is a teaching of ten similar grounds. In short, "Through the initial application of karma, the eighth ground will be attained." It is also said that through the generation stage, the eighth ground is attained, and through the purification of the three appearances, the three grounds are attained. This is also said to be in accordance with this meaning, as Gö Lotsāwa Zhönnu Pal and his sons seem to think. Therefore, it is not permissible for the suffering of karma to ripen after attaining the path of seeing for the common noble Bodhisattva and the single set of ten grounds combined. Even on the ground of aspiration and conduct, the single set of ten grounds is accepted. Thus, it is possible that it is in accordance with such an intention. Furthermore, according to the Nyingma tradition, the ten grounds of the stainless noble path are categorized into four types of Vidyādharas. Among them, the path of seeing is divided into two. With the power of seeing the nature of reality itself by the most intelligent, the impure body is burned by the fire of wisdom, and the vajra body or the essence of the elements, which is immutable, is attained. Having attained the supreme path, which is free from all defilements, one becomes the Vidyādhara of Complete Empowerment. This is like how the Great Orgyen (Padmasambhava) accomplished it in the Maratika cave by relying on the proximate cause of the gathering. Depending on the capacity of intelligence, one can apply it to the Mahāmudrā of the path of meditation, or ultimately, one can apply the tenth ground of the path, the Spontaneous Accomplishment Vidyādhara, in the manner of Tögal (direct crossing). Therefore, it is impossible for such a noble one who has attained the path of seeing to have discomfort or comfort. However, some with lesser intelligence, having seen the truth of reality, even though they have attained the first ground of the stainless noble path, still have an impure body.
