Although the aspects (of phenomena) are many, the definitive essence, the truth, is without separation; it is the secret treasury of all Buddhas. So it is said. Regarding viewing as deities in the conventional sense, the Kriya Tantra views deities as the purity of the Dharma-nature; the Yoga Tantra views deities as blessed by great wisdom that does not abide on top of that; the Anuttara Yoga Tantra views deities as the spontaneously accomplished mandala on top of both of those. Therefore, abandoning the idea of holding different truths, not only in the ultimate truth but also in the conventional truth, it is determined that the vessel and essence are of great purity and equality. Therefore, the view without separation of samsara and nirvana is said to be superior to the view of mantra, the path of means, from the Madhyamaka of the cause, the unsurpassed vehicle. In the Guhyagarbha Tantra, Buddha Secret, guiding the stages of the path, said: Among the unsurpassed vehicles, in the ultimate, there is no separation; in the conventional, in all, hold both purity and impurity. In the great vehicle of means, purity and suffering, in the conventional, are also inseparable; the view is only that much higher or lower. So it is said. Therefore, having determined all dharmas as the essence of the definitive meaning alone, not desiring cause and effect to be different other than removing the stains of the spontaneously accomplished essence realm, having understood it as the unconditioned self-manifested mandala, and by meditating and relying on the path that is in accordance with it, the stains to be purified are liberated on the ground, and the meaning of the essence of the basis to be purified is manifested as it is, the ultimate is the fruit continuum. On that, what is the purifying means or path continuum that purifies the stains on the ground? Among the two, maturation and liberation, the empowerment of maturation, at this unsurpassed time, is the complete bestowal of the four empowerments, which can be known from what has been said and will be said before. The nature of the liberating path is a special means of making the ground free from obscurations, that is, transforming the essence of the basis to be purified itself into the obscuring, purifiable, adventitious stains, is the path of purification, and also transforming the lineage of the appearance of afflictions and suffering from the confused dharma into the path of great bliss and meditating on it. The way of transforming is also, by guarding without rejecting or accepting the self-nature of whatever appears, the key point is that its self-nature appears as pure appearance.

生起次第,从梵文词语Utpatti-krama(梵文天城体:उत्पत्ति क्रम,梵文罗马拟音:utpatti krama,汉语字面意思:生起次第)中引申而来,Utpatti(梵文天城体:उत्पत्ति,梵文罗马拟音:utpatti,汉语字面意思:生起)意为造作或观察,从中造作和观察的基础是圆满次第,其梵文词语为Nispanna-krama(梵文天城体:निष्पन्न क्रम,梵文罗马拟音:niṣpanna krama,汉语字面意思:圆满次第),其中的Nispanna(梵文天城体:निष्पन्न,梵文罗马拟音:niṣpanna,汉语字面意思:圆满)意为未造作或成就和圆满,两者的Krama(梵文天城体:क्रम,梵文罗马拟音:krama,汉语字面意思:次第)意为次第,即成为方法或道的次第。

Therefore, in this Mantrayana, the nature of the truth of origin, which is samsara, appears as the truth of the path, and the nature of the truth of suffering appears as the truth of cessation. Because the result becomes the path, it is superior to the path of abandonment, prevention, and purification. To classify it, the object to be purified is the mistaken, adventitious, and completely imputed, as well as the two aspects of the seed. In relation to these, the means of purification are said to be two: the generation stage and the completion stage. The generation stage is derived from the Sanskrit term Utpatti-krama. Utpatti means to create or examine. The basis from which one creates and examines is the completion stage. Its Sanskrit term is Nispanna-krama, where Nispanna means uncreated or accomplished and complete. Krama in both terms means sequence, which becomes the sequence of methods or paths. Therefore, the yoga of the deity with retinue that is created and examined, which is inferential, is called the generation stage. The path of the yoga of the deity with retinue that is free from creation, which is directly perceived, is called the completion stage. As it says in the later chapter of the Secret Essence Tantra, translated by the Kashmiri: "The union of the forms of the deity, the sequence of the moon, vajra, and so on, is called the generation stage. The yoga of naturally accomplished nature is called the completion stage." The definition is: In the stages of the path of both ordinary beings and noble ones, during the time of ordinary beings, the appearance of the sugatagarbha with defilements, which is in union with bliss and emptiness, is the deity's form, empty of appearance. If classified, there are two: the generation stage and the completion stage. First, what is the generation stage? The deity's form, empty of appearance, which is in union with bliss and emptiness, arising from creation and examination, is the definition of the generation stage. It also has four special characteristics: the characteristic of the ritual is that it possesses the complete generation ritual taught in the tantras; the characteristic of the self-result is that it is able to generate the power of mantra; the characteristic of the essence is the nature of bliss and emptiness and emptiness itself; the characteristic of the function is that it possesses all three: purification, completion, and maturation. The definition of the completion stage is: What is the completion stage? The deity's form, empty of appearance, which is in union with bliss and emptiness, the uncreated, unstable one is the completion stage of the cause, and the stable one is the definition of the completion stage of the result. Moreover, the completion stage has three special characteristics: the characteristic of the cause is striking the essential points of the vajra body; the characteristic of the function is that it purifies the channels, winds, and bindus into the central channel; the characteristic of the aspect
