The three doors have been abiding in the nature of the three indestructible Vajras since the beginning. As the Mayajala Vajra says: "Whatever dwells in the heart of beings, is the self-born, uncontaminated wisdom body. The indestructible bindu is of great bliss, pervading all like the sky. It is the un abiding nature of the Dharmakaya." Also, as the Small Self-Abiding says: "The indestructible wisdom bindu is the lord of the Vajra of body, speech, and mind. It abandons the distinctions of one and many, and cannot be represented by various appearances." Also, as Self-Arisen says: "The body is pervaded by great wisdom, like oil in a sesame seed. The radiance and splendor of the body are pervaded by the moisture of wisdom." Also, as the Two Examinations say: "Great wisdom abides in the body, completely abandoning all thoughts. It pervades all things, the body abides where it is not born from the body." Therefore, the luminous nature of the mind also has four characteristics: it has the characteristic of being in accordance with the qualities of the result, such as fields, bodies, and wisdoms; its nature is great bliss; it is continuous; and it is obtained by Dharma-nature. Because it pervades all of samsara and nirvana without distinction, the basis of liberation, the spontaneously accomplished Dharma-nature, exists within oneself, which is determined to be the proximate cause of the fruit lineage. As the Ear of Instructions says: "The essence of the emptiness of things, called nature and form, is not another meaning, but the meaning of one's own essence. That is the cause, the Vajradhara who is the agent of proximate taking, that is, the Buddha himself, who is established by the nature of these uncontaminated by beginningless impurities. That alone is the cause of the Buddha, who is characterized by obtaining stainlessness." That is the meaning. The continuous stream of cause is called the root tantra in Vajra Peak, and the fruit lineage is born from that cause lineage, and the Victorious One who has reached the end of the far shore, that is, the later lineage, is explained. Likewise, in Peak it says: "Why is this the later lineage here? Lineage is called continuous, samsara is considered a lineage. The so-called later is the far shore, the lineage is called the later. Lineage is called continuous, the later is born from the earlier. That itself is called the hidden secret, the lineage is called the later."

It is. Why are they subsequent and non-subsequent? The Victorious One who has reached the end of the earth has transcended the prison of existence. Or, whoever has transcended, is said to be subsequent and non-subsequent. Thus it is said. Therefore, the meaning of cause, continuum, and reality cannot be definitively established by reasoning that wanders in conceptual proliferation, because it is beyond the scope of nominal cognition. Thus it is said. The General Sutra says: "Neither example, nor measure, nor reason, nor subsequent inference of wisdom, is able to realize it, like a blind man measuring the height of the sky." Thus it is said. The Samdhinirmocana Sutra says: "The object of individual self-awareness, which is without characteristics, is inexpressible and beyond all verbal conventions. The ultimate truth, which is free from contention, is beyond the realm of conceptualization." Thus it is said. So, by what should it be determined? The Magical Net Tantra says: "Particulars summarized are the three all-pervasive." Therefore, what can measure the most hidden meaning is none other than the three all-pervasive valid cognitions. As the Vajra Mirror Tantra says: "By whatever is measured by the valid cognitions of scripture, reason, and oral instruction, the knowable will be comprehended." Thus it is said. Thus, by measuring with the three valid cognitions—the immaculate scriptural authority of the Buddhas, the authoritative oral instructions composed by the wise, and the reasoning that arises in accordance with these two—the view to be realized, the meaning of cause, continuum, and reality, is definitively established, which is the tenet of the Nyingma school itself. Regarding this, most of the later translation school scholars, in the Two Truths, say: "Intrinsic nature is primordially unborn, neither false nor true as such, all is like a moon in water; yogis should not understand it with desire." Explaining the intention of this verse, they assert that the tenet of mantra is that, from the perspective of view, it is Madhyamaka, distinguished by the superiority of skillful means. However, here in the early translation school's own language, the view is even more superior, like the skillful means. Although in ultimate truth there is no arising or ceasing, and in conventional truth all phenomena are seen as mere illusion, which is in accordance with the Madhyamikas, the special characteristic of mantra is that even the conventional illusion is seen as the nature of a completely pure deity, and the two truths are seen as inseparable, thereby distinguishing it. Thus, in the Omniscient Great One's Wish-Fulfilling Treasury, it says: "For this, first it is essential to know the reality, it is the key point of the vehicle."
