By relying on the uncommon mandala of the four elements and meditating on the yoga of winds, one accomplishes miracles and clairvoyance, entering the ranks of the vidyadharas, and achieves temporary results. By relying on this basis and practicing the conduct of mantras, whether it takes five lifetimes or however long, one ultimately manifests the state of the four families of Vajradhara in three or one kalpa. As stated in the Galpo, "The four families reside in the Vajradhara state." And as stated in the Kunje, "In non-duality, five lifetimes obscure." Third, the Yoga Tantra: ultimately, it is the blessing of wisdom that realizes all dharmas as the nature of luminosity and emptiness, free from the characteristics of elaboration, and it is designated as the deity of the conventional Vajradhatu. It is believed that the result can be achieved through the effort of discriminating between good and bad, accepting and rejecting. As stated in the Lamrim, "Because spontaneous equality is not realized, all dharmas are the pure wisdom, the blessing of Vajradhatu is the manifested deity, accepting and rejecting is the basis of karma." Regarding the differences in the path to be meditated upon, there are approach and accomplishment. First, regarding approach, the individual who is the basis must generate the mind of enlightenment, have faith in the tantra, uphold the vows according to the teachings, and have faith in the path and the teachers of the path. Then, the key to how to meditate on the path is to aim for the result to be obtained, and its proximate cause is the beginningless and endless luminous mind of enlightenment, the self-nature of each individual's own awareness, which is the very suchness of the mind that forms the basis for all deities, mantras, mandalas, and mudras, and is called the causal continuum. The main method for manifesting the result from that cause is summarized in two: means and wisdom. The first is to meditate on the deity yoga associated with the four mudras and its retinue. That is, the yoga of the body mahamudra, the speech samaya mudra, the mind dharma mudra, and the activity karma mudra, respectively, eliminates the sudden confusion of the alaya consciousness, afflicted mind, consciousness, and the five senses, and manifests the four wisdoms of mirror-like wisdom, equality wisdom, discriminating wisdom, and accomplishing wisdom. The dharmadhatu wisdom abides in the nature of all of these.

Thus, in the order of practicing such a deity yoga, for those of sharp faculties, just as the former teacher, the Buddha, manifested the mandala of illusion and the way of accomplishing activities, so too should the followers. The first preliminary: mandala excellence, activity excellence, that is, practicing based on the three samadhis. For those of dull faculties, contemplating oneself as the samaya deity of one's own lineage is yoga. Entering the wisdom deity into that, making it of one taste is subsequent yoga. Regarding all movement and stillness as the yoga of the deity of one's own lineage is all yoga. With those three preceding, the arising of one-pointed samadhi is exceedingly yoga. That is, practicing based on the four yogas. The second, wisdom, is the wisdom of individual self-awareness, realizing the suchness of the mind. This is how sharp faculties manifest it through the power of blessing and meditative arising, and how dull faculties manifest it through hearing and other means. The second, the order of accomplishment, has two aspects: primarily accomplishing past siddhis based on samadhi, and accomplishing both siddhis based on recitation. The first is that, whether relying on the three samadhis or the four yogas, one pleases one's own deity and the three wheels of the retinue with pure offerings. Then, for the benefit of others, one accomplishes mudras. Having accomplished that, one applies the mudras to limitless activities. Then, one accomplishes clairvoyance, and in a gathering hall that is in accordance with the wheel of one's own lineage, with practitioners equal in number to the deities, one arranges the form of a mandala. By using the play of desirable qualities as a branch of non-dual samadhi, one accomplishes it in a way that pleases the deity and gains control. If it is not accomplished, it is accomplished by relying on repetition and inference. The second has two aspects: vajra recitation and word recitation. The first is that, in front of oneself, having generated oneself as the deity, one also generates the deity. Having gathered the life force and senses inward, one mentally recites the essence mantra. When exhaling, one recites focusing on the deity in front. When inhaling, one recites considering oneself and the deity to be inseparable. This is conventional with focus. All phenomena, represented by oneself, the deity, and the mantra, are in a state of emptiness, pure like the sky.
