Focus on the mantra garland residing in the center of the moon in the hearts of both (referring to the two visualizations mentioned above), reciting its own sound. In general, it is reciting while restraining the breath, and in particular: visualizing the deity as the front-generation deity, the mind visualizing the moon center in the heart, the sound visualizing the sound of the mantra on it. Restraining the breath, recite while focusing on the deity in front, the moon, and the mantra. Also, when exhaling, focus on your own deity's moon mantra garland. Recite the mantra without error and without diminishing it. If you get tired from this, rest in a non-conceptual state. As it says in the Later Samadhi: Rely on sound, mind, and base. Secret mantra unchanging, abide in the base. Recite the secret mantra without diminishing the limbs. If tired, rest in me. The reality of Samadhi is: As it says there: Secret mantra residing in fire, bestows accomplishments. Remember residing in sound, bestows yoga. The end of sound, causes liberation. Therefore, in the bright heart of the self-generated deity, in the midst of burning flames, the moon resides with the mantra. Learning with the practice of restraining the breath is residing in fire, which is the basis for accomplishing peaceful and other activities. From that, visualize the letters of the mantra emitting sounds like wind chimes, and restrain the breath. This is residing in sound, which is the basis for generating calm abiding. Even just the sound of the mantra, analyze and examine it, and abide equally in the state of non-conceptual wisdom. This is the end of sound. From this, insight arises and becomes the proximate cause of liberation. Secondly, the conduct tantra is: As it says in Rangshar: Upaya is like this, view as yoga view, conduct as kriya conduct, therefore it is called the two tantras. As it says in the Garland of Views: Accomplished from relying on both. As it says in the Seventeenth Appearance of the Stages of Views: The intention of the two tantras is, view and conduct are consistent in sequence. Therefore, view the view as yoga, and conduct as kriya, abiding in cleanliness. Regarding the distinction of manifest realization of what is to be meditated upon, there are three conducts: entering, combining, and accomplishing. Entering has two aspects: outer and inner. The outer entering conduct is, making it a suitable vessel through empowerment. The inner entering conduct is, in the manner of the two yogas of with signs and without signs, the tantra speaks of three deities to be meditated upon: letters, mudras, and form deities.

Each one also has two aspects: in terms of letters, it's the mind of enlightenment and the deity of sound; in terms of mudras, it's the emptiness without form, represented by the wheel and other shapes, and the dharma-arising ash seal; in terms of form, it's complete purity, directly seeing self-awareness as the essence, and complete impurity, contemplating the forms of faces, hands, etc., through conceptualization. Having understood this, the order of meditating on yoga with signs is as follows: As it says in the Manifestation of Vairocana, "Combine letters with letters, likewise, transform from base to base, extremely restrained from the mind, recite a million times." Thus, with protecting the self-abiding yoga as a preliminary, the first letter, from the nature of emptiness of the ultimate bodhicitta, contemplate its appearance as the conventional moon mandala; the second letter, on top of that, proclaim the mantra to be recited in its own sound; after all of that is completely transformed, the first base, generate oneself as the deity and bless it with mantra, mudra, etc. Then, the second base, generate the deity in front of oneself, arrange the mantra garland on the moon mandala at its heart, and stabilize the samadhi through the union of breath control and one-pointedness. The second is yoga without signs, analyzing all phenomena such as aggregates with the four extremes, giving rise to the mind that realizes unbornness; that mind manifests as the nature of non-discrimination, it is the abiding mind; for those who do not realize it, compassionately following after, it is the rising mind, distinguished by entering, abiding, and rising, cultivate the ultimate bodhicitta. Having become accustomed to the two yogas in this way, the siddhi of both yoga with signs and yoga with and without signs will be accomplished. Secondly, the practice of union has two aspects, outer and inner. The outer is to perform approach with signs or numbers through the door of recitation with four branches, and the inner is to clearly visualize oneself as Shakyamuni, visualizing Vairocana on the moon at his heart, arranging the mantra garland on the moon mandala at the heart, and cultivating in the nature of the union of shamatha and vipashyana, characterized by breath control and one-pointed recitation. Thirdly, in terms of the practice of accomplishment, the common one is to accomplish the vidyadhara based on substances and mantras after the approach is completed.
