It is the Nagarjuna School. The nature of which is: the vows of a Bodhisattva, which are the vows obtained through the ritual of taking both the vows of aspiration and engagement simultaneously. What, then, is the difference between the Bodhicitta of aspiration and engagement and the two sets of vows? The mind that seeks complete enlightenment for the sake of others, and the mind that protects it from degenerating, are, in order, the Bodhicitta of aspiration and engagement. The mind that promises to uphold all the Bodhisattva's trainings, and the mind that promises to practice as one has upheld them, are, in order, the vows of aspiration and the vows of engagement. Furthermore, Jetari takes the two Bodhicittas simultaneously, and then takes the two sets of vows simultaneously. Here, according to the practice of the noble Nagarjuna and Shantideva, Bodhicitta and vows are taken simultaneously in a ritual. This has three parts: preliminary, main, and concluding. The preliminary is: taking the special instruction to heart, generating aversion to the extreme of samsara, preventing attachment to the extreme of peace, and thus cultivating joy in the Bodhicitta that abandons both extremes, by means of three methods of transforming the mind. After offering a mandala to the special object, the teacher, and making requests. Taking refuge in the special support, the Three Jewels. And the special method, accumulating the seven-branch offering, etc. The main part has two aspects: mind training and making vows. The first is: all sentient beings are one's own kind parents, and with the strong force of compassion for all those tormented by suffering, one trains the mind from the depths of one's heart, thinking, "For the sake of their temporary and ultimate benefit and happiness, I will give away all my happiness and virtue, and I will gladly take upon myself all their suffering." As Shantideva said: "My body and likewise my possessions, And all my virtues of the three times, I give without regret, For the sake of accomplishing the good of all sentient beings." The second is: with seeking permission as a preliminary, one takes the vows by reciting three times the two verses from the Bodhicaryavatara, such as "As the Sugatas of old..." The first verse shows how the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the past generated their minds, and the second verse shows how they

I will also learn, and after making this commitment, one undertakes the generation of aspiration and action Bodhicitta and the taking of vows. Just like this: For the benefit of beings who go thus, I will generate the mind of enlightenment. Thus, there is the generation of aspiration and action Bodhicitta. Similarly, for the trainings, I will train in stages. Thus, the ritual for taking the aspiration and action vows is clearly shown. Afterwards, there are two: cultivating self-joy and causing others to cultivate joy. The first is: Today my life has fruit. And so on. The second is: Today I, for all the protectors. And so on, and after saying this, expressing gratitude and briefly explaining the trainings, and so on. Second, according to the Asanga system, who is the person who takes it and how is the ritual for taking it. The first is: Asanga's view is: Taking the aspiration mind does not require individual liberation, but to take it correctly, seven types of vows must precede it. Here, the basis for the aspiration mind does not require individual liberation, but for the basis for obtaining the action vow that has not been obtained, one of the seven types of individual liberation vows must precede it. As it says in the Lamp for the Path: Those who have the seven types of individual liberation vows, who constantly possess other vows, have the fortune of the Bodhisattva vows, otherwise not. The second is: Asking about obstacles and promising the trainings, etc., taking them through the respective aspiration and action rituals. The definition is: The Bodhisattva vow, which, having first sent forth the aspiration mind and the discipline of abstaining from misdeeds, is the continuous mind obtained through the ritual of taking the action vow. Generally, in the ritual for taking this vow, in the treatises of the noble Asanga and Chandra Gomi, etc., the procedure for taking the aspiration mind separately is not clear, but in the ritual composed by Lord Atisha, the ritual for taking the aspiration mind before the action vow is explained, and it is said that this is the oral instruction of Maitreya, which Atisha clarified. Therefore, in reality, it also conforms to Asanga's intention, because it is said that from Maitreya to Atisha is a whispered lineage of teachings. Therefore, this ritual has three points: determining the basis, subsequently performing the preparations, and establishing the nature. The first is: As before, the attachment to the two extremes
