Drinking or eating anything with intoxicating properties, such as liquor made from processed grains, its dregs, and sediments, with the intention of swallowing it down one's throat constitutes a downfall. However, if the taste and potency of the liquor have been diminished by boiling, or if it is mixed in the mouth solely for the benefit of a patient, or merely applied to the body, there is no offense. Tenth, the downfall of going to a village at an inappropriate time is: in the evening at an inappropriate time, that is, from the time the sun has passed its midpoint in one's own region until dawn has not yet broken, without any necessary reason and without informing the friend residing there (referring to the village), one wanders into the village of householders, exceeding the limits of closed doors and the vicinity. The ninth section, concerning the category of teaching the Dharma, states: Wandering in the evening with food, exceeding three houses. Sleeping in the chamber where the king plays with his consort. Saying 'I have only now learned' when reciting the Sutras, etc. Making precious beds, dilapidated beds, bed legs exceeding the prescribed size. Spreading cotton with malicious intent on a bed and distributing it. Cushions, coarse cloth, large pieces of cloth, robes exceeding the prescribed size. As it is said, among the ten, the first, the downfall of wandering in other villages is: this one, the sixth, and the tenth are all prescribed for the Sāṃghāṭī (僧伽梨,大衣). A monk, in the morning, invites a patron to a householder's residence for a meal with his own words, and without saying 'distribute at the proper time,' he himself wanders from one house to another, exceeding three houses, harming the umbrella limit of the Sangha; in the evening, exceeding four houses, harming the Dharma enjoyment of the Sangha. Second, the downfall of going to the king's palace at night is: it is prescribed for the Śikṣāpada Without any special necessity such as being summoned for a Dharma-related reason, going to the chamber where the king plays with his consort, that is, the palace together with the consort, from the time the sun has completely set until the last dawn has broken, reaching the closed doors of that place, or exceeding the vicinity of that place. Not only at night, but also going during the day and sleeping there at night is the same. Third, the downfall of despising the precepts is: this one and the fifth are prescribed for the group of six. Having heard the Prātimokṣa Sutra more than twice, and having known from before that there is that meaning in that Sutra, but in order to disrespect what has been learned, saying 'I have only now learned that there is this meaning' during the Uposatha, if what is said is a word of despising the precepts belonging to the Vinaya, if it is heard by others, it constitutes a downfall, and for the Sutra Pitaka, etc.

Completed. The fourth, the offense of repairing felt or coarse cloth is: This, the seventh, eighth, and ninth offenses are prescribed for a large number of monks. For monks, personally repairing or having someone repair rare and valuable items such as felt, etc., constitutes a transgression. The fifth, the offense of repairing bed legs is: When a monk installs legs on a bed or cot belonging to the Sangha, starting from inserting the legs into the holes, if the length exceeds one cubit (kurru), personally making or having it made constitutes a transgression. The sixth, the offense of decorating with cotton wool is: A monk, with malicious intent, spreads cotton wool on a bed or cot belonging to the Sangha and decorates it. The seventh, making cushions, the eighth, making borders, and the ninth, making large pieces of summer cloth, are all offenses of exceeding the prescribed measurements: If a monk, for his own benefit, makes these three items exceeding their respective measurements, personally or having them made, he commits the corresponding offense. The measurements are: the length of a cushion is three cubits, and the width is two cubits and six fingers. The length of a border is six cubits, and the width is three cubits. The length of a large piece of cloth is nine cubits, and the width is three cubits and eighteen fingers. Furthermore, for all things measured in cubits and fingers, if they exceed half of the measuring tool, an offense is committed. When confessing these offenses, one must break the felt, collect the cotton wool from the bed, and cut off the excess portions of the bed legs, cushion, border, and large piece of cloth before confessing. If the person to whom the confession is made does not ask whether the items have been broken, collected, or cut, a minor offense is committed. The tenth, the offense of exceeding the measurements of the Sugata's (Buddha's) Dharma robe is: Not according to the Buddha's body size, but according to measurements exceeding the Buddha's Dharma robe, personally making or having it made constitutes a transgression. The measurements of the Buddha's Dharma robe are: the length is five cubits of the Buddha himself, equivalent to fifteen cubits of ordinary people; the width is three cubits of the Buddha, equivalent to nine cubits of ordinary people. This is because one cubit of the Buddha is equivalent to three cubits of an average person. Fifth, the teachings on individual confession are divided into two: teaching and explanation. The first is: There are four categories of individual confession. That is, because it is necessary to confess separately in the form of lamentation, it is called the category of individual confession. Its definition is: Any transgression of a monk who has taken full ordination, which violates the precepts, belongs to the individual confession.
